Summerfest winds down in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE — A staple of summer in Milwaukee winds down after this weekend.
Summerfest, which calls itself the world's largest music festival, ends Sunday after an 11-day run.
Every year, 800,000 to 1 million people pack the 75 acre grounds along Lake Michigan to listen to all kinds of music on 11 stages, eat and drink and buy items from various vendors.
Among this year's headliners: Bon Jovi, Keith Urban, Kiss, Stevie Wonder, George Strait, Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and No Doubt.
On Friday night Kenny Chesney will perform. This weekend, The Fray and Kid Rock will take the stage.
