Favre family books rooms for Viking game
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Brett Favre's family is ready for his return to Green Bay if he plays for the Minnesota Vikings.
Favre's family and friends have booked 25 to 30 rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge near Lambeau Field for the weekend of the Vikings game against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 1.
Midway manager Doug Warpinski says the quarterback's family and friends routinely stayed at the hotel for home games in Favre's final years with the Packers.
Given the uncertainty of Favre's return for a 19th season, family and friends would be off the hook if Favre remains retired. They don't have to guarantee payment for the rooms until 45 days before check-in.
When Favre retired in February for the second time, he blamed a partially torn biceps tendon for his poor play late in the season with the New York Jets. ESPN has reported Favre had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder in May.

Hope they book a hospital room for the old man, too, because if he comes back to play for a division rival just to "stick it" to the pack and TT under the excuse of wanting to win football games then MM, Capers and the defense need to unleash the dogs and bury the SOB under the turf that made him famous. Bounce that surgically repaired shoulder off the tundra a few times and see what happens.
As for the Motor Lodge manager, grow a pair and tell that clan of Mississippi hillbillies there ain't no room at the inn. Heard there were some nice hotels in the Twin Cities though.
I also hope the Pack as the courage and forethought to issue the #4 jersey to the new punter this season!

How about just moving on and forgetting about the past. Farve has had his day and will never be the same no matter what team he lands on. The Packers are playing with young players and a very good quarterback, that will be enough to get us in the playoffs again.

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe that is the day he COULD be inducted into the Packer Hall of fame that day?? Maybe that is why they are all coming to town? Never thought of that huh???

Drama Queen! Looks like he's more concerned with tee-shirt sales profits than football. The only reason we should care about this is if his family booked 23-30 rooms in Janesville. Anywhere else and it's a snooze.
Pleeeeeeease, Bret...go a quietly into that good night!

It's funny ... if Joe Six-Pack calls the same hotel (or any hotel within a 50-mile radius of Green Bay) and asks to reserve one room for the Vikings-Packers weekend, he will be told none are available. It's good to know those with money can still get a place to sleep.

I think this is nothing more than b.s. by this midway motor lodge mgr... trying to get attention. Why the hell would they stay at a motorlodge??? Come on.. Second. I believe they still own property in Greenbay.. I don't think he will do it, does not have enough confidence in that shoulder after the surgery. Come on people a motor lodge?
