Person found dead after Evansville fire
EVANSVILLE--A person was found dead after an early morning fire today north of Evansville, according to press release issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff's Office along with fire and EMS personnel from Evansville, Brooklyn and Stoughton fire departments were dispatched at 2:41 a.m. to Brzeizinski Birchwood Mobile Home Park, 8441 N. Highway 14, Lot 15, for a residential fire.
While enroute to the scene, emergency responders were advised a person might still be in the home, according to the press release.
Entry into the structure, which was fully engulfed in flames, was impossible by Evansville police, who arrived first on scene, according to the press release.
Nearby residents were evacuated because of intense heat and large flames. Firefighters located a body while battling the blaze but this person's gender and identity remain unknown, according to sheriff's office officials, who remained on the scene this morning.

How sad it is that you can find humor at a time when someone has lost a family member. Cold and heartless...

This is very sad. My condolences to the family and friends of the person who died. My thoughts are also with the firefighters. I would imagine that it is difficult to know someone can't be saved. Thank you for always doing all that you can.

dudefromjsvl - are you implying that those responding didn't do their job? If the house is fully engulfed in flames as the article states no one would have been able to go in.
