WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — A New Berlin student accused of blackmailing other boys for sex in a scam that started on Facebook plans to plead not guilty on Monday.

Anthony Stancl is accused of posing as a girl on the social networking site and tricking his classmates into sending him naked photos of themselves. A criminal complaint says the 18-year-old then used the photos to blackmail the boys for sex acts.

Defense attorney Craig Kuhary says Stancl will plead not guilty during an arraignment Monday morning. Kuhary previously said they would be open to talking about a plea agreement. He says he wants to see the state’s evidence before deciding whether to begin discussions.

Not seeing where it says anything about a cell phone. I heard about this on z104 about a month ago. They were taking polls to see how many kids had a naked pic of themselves or had taken one. I don't remember the actual numbers but it was like 75% of kids had a naked picture of themselves.

what kind of kid would email a naked picture of themselves to a total stranger? And where are the parents? and why do these kids even have cell phones? There is a much bigger picture here other than the young man impersonating someone else.. and FaceBook is NOT the problem either... I wonder if the parents of these boys took thier cell phones away.. I'm betting not.

If this kind of thing happened when I was in high school, this kid would have been beaten up pretty badly.

The Facebook scams are almost on par with "leave the baby in a hot car" incidences for frequency and the inability of people to learn from the mistakes of others. The more it happens.....the more it happens! Ugh.

Pretending to be a girl should work out good for this guy when he gets settled in his new home.
