Rock River continues to rise
JANESVILLE—The flood warning continues for the Rock River at Afton until further notice.
At 2:15 a.m. today, the stage was 10 feet. Flood stage is 9 feet. Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast, according to the National Weather Service, Sullivan.
The Rock River will continue rising to 10.1 feet this morning. Additional rises may be possible after that. At 10.4 feet, floodwaters will start to affect low spots on South River Road on the south side of Janesville.

For those that think this is funny I wonder how funny you would think it is if the water was getting closer to your house or any other natural disaster damaging something of yours.
So many people have no consideration for other people on things like this when it doesn't effect them.
Try to be more compassionate for the people that are on the river & some idiot screams by in a boat to go catch a carp while taking 1/2 your shoreline with them!

Please, Please close the boat landing, not allowing any boats on the river. Individuals are not abiding by the slow/no wake.
