Oh, and justsayno...

...my first point is still valid.

If you are so certain that you can do better, stop bi*ching about it and get a job at the Gazette and prove it.

If the Gazette is so bad, why do you waste your time reading it?

justsayno...

...are you trying to say that I work for the Gazette?

Nothing could be further from the truth. I haven't worked for the Gazette since 1974 and I was just a paperboy then.

You really shouldn't job to conclusions like that...you might trip and hurt yourself.

Of course, being at the same job for 145 years would make anyone tired and cranky...

So...at what point did I say that there was any ONE reporter at the Gazette...or anywhere, for that matter...that had 160 years of experience?

The fact is that combined experience IS in fact experience. With what I do for a living, I have 30 years...my boss has been doing it for 55 years and the three guys I work the closest with have a combined 60 years. So...145 years among 6 people...it does add up.

As to being non-senseical...what doesn't make sense? I thought I was pretty clear in what I was trying to say.

As for being annoying...do you really think I care if you are annoyed because I get tired of people ripping others who are just trying to do their job?

Get over yourself.

Well, I'm sure the Gazette needed to send out a swarm of reporters to shine light on that nefarious cover-up.

canceled AND cancelled are both correct

wow people have way too much time on their hands, apparently, to be so incessantly critical and demanding.

NO REPORTER has been reporting for 160 years. A COMPANY has been around for that much time. So, if the New York Times decides to hire a bum off of the street, he is now a wonderful journalist because the paper has been around for a long time? That is, perhaps, the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. If I am hired to be a postal carrier, then, I can claim 100s of years of experience? These are human beings, they make mistakes. That is fine, but, your statement is simply nonsensical and, incredibly annoying.

Maybe they thought nobody would risk touching toys, etc., after sneezing child handled them. Just a thought.

I'm thinking that all the people out there that complain about the reporting here and the information that is given out, if you don't like it, you have a few options...

1) go to school, study journalism and then get a job at the Gazette so that you can show them all the things they've been doing wrong. After all, they've only been doing this for 160 years or so.

How about it, Scott Angus? How many years has the gazette been around?

2) Go out and start your own paper, either print or web only, doesn't matter...either one will work.

Or finally...sit back and wait a few minutes or hours...chances are that there will be an update with more detail.

Can't wait that long? Deal with it or go find a different news outlet.

deltafox5674 - The press release didn't include a reason, so the Gazette reported everything they could. If you would like to sign up for Janesville's various emails the link is below.

Why was it canceled? Nice reporting, NOT.
