MILTON—Milton police arrested Andrew D. Lara, 23, of Addison, Ill., at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, in the 700 block of S. Janesville Street, on charges of child enticement and use of a computer to facilitate a sex crime, according to a department press release.

The arrest is the result of the department’s involvement with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a program facilitated by the U.S. Department of Justice. The arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation involving Lara using the computer to entice what he believed to be a 15-year-old girl into sexual activity, according to police.

Bull crap! If they are not "SO INCLINED", why would they even "bite"?
.
What mentally, morally, socially adjusted person would want to engage in sex with a minor? They MUST be sick in the brain/soul to even contemplate such an encounter. They lack something in their life to think they NEED to exploit a child for their own deviant sexual gratification and control over another.
.
Bait? Bull(crap)... If ya ain't lookin' ya ain't baited!!!

You people really are naive. They are not comming up here from illinois!!!! Ive explained this before!!! Law enforcement officials do NOT sit back and wait to be contacted by a sexual predator. They send out THOUSANDS of messages and email every day to random men. Their intentions are to get them to "bite". Ive told you before only 13% of enticement cases end in a conviction. why??? You ask?? Because of ENTRAPMENT laws!! The first thing the offenders attorney says is: "He wouldnt have done it if the police wouldnt have baited him" Milton PD Internet Task force is obiviously sending out random message to men on a messenger or myspace or facebook, then they have the men meet them in milton... BAM!! Arrested... Milton is not a bad community, if anything, police are enticing men and luring men to our community. CRIMINALS!!! Who are being lured into our community.. think about it

Its still a "cute little town". We have our share of slimeballs coming to our town because we ARE small and for some reason, appear clueless and unaware. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Small town communities are even MORE aware of the happenings around us. We KNOW our neighbors and recognize when things seem "out of place".
.
I doubt we have anymore crime than any other area in Wisconsin. I think we make the papers all the time because we ARE a small community.
.
I WANT Milton to be known as the Entrapment town. It might make these creeps think twice before trying to entice a child from my community!

What happened to cute little Milton? It went to crap about the same time the ethanol plant started sprinkling the orange dust all over the place. It USED to be a nice little town.

Poor Milton ... heroin, sexual perverts, students accused of rape, school and police staff accused of inappropriate conduct toward students, swine flu, etc. What happened to that cute little town with all of the antique shops? Bring back Milton College and start rebuilding the community's image.

Entrapment my petutie (as mom always said).
If someone is >18, and looking for someone <18, they KNOW this is not correct OR lawful!
They deserve the full extent of the law or more. Maybe DAD's shotgun, or MOM'S pistol!
Entrapment does NOT enter into this. Wrong is Wrong! PERIOD!

Meet your "cellmate"... Bubba... he took the law into his own hands when he
(blanked) the one who was "enticing" his little girl OR BOY.

Again I say... entrapment? NOT HARDLY!!
Thank you MPD for getting these loosers off our (ANYONE'S) streets!!

Call it what EVER you want... This maggot was LOOKING for "young meat". He would not have continued his "research" if he didn't have deviant intentions. As far as I am concerned, he continued the "on-line" conversations and is a legal adult... Sucks to be him and anyone else who is trolling for our daughters.
.
He only deserves to rot in a hellish prison. Give him some purgatory here on earth!

This guy had plenty of opportunities to stop what he was doing. He could have stopped going to the web site. He could have stopped typing. He could have stopped from getting in his car. He could have stopped at Beloit. He could have stopped at Janesville.

But no, he didn't stop.

He was lucky though, because some parents would cut his junk off and feed it to the squirrels if caught by them.

Keep up the good work Milton PD.

MESPL....VERY WELL said! I agree with you one hundred percent! This is no different then undercover cops working to get deadbeat drug dealers out of our cities or those intermitten speed and drunk driving check points. It is called knowing their is a problem, and baiting the bad guys. I agree with this philosophy, and I hope they continue it! These people are coming to hook up with that "one" individual that they were conversing with, it isn't like there is a HUGE banner on internet sites that state, come to Milton, Janesville, Beloit etc.....you will find teens to have sex with. These SICKOS come for one victim and one only....at that particular time. The one baiting them! GREAT job MPD!!!! I am proud to know some of you!

You are full of it if you call this legal entrapment. What was this guy doing on-line looking for a 15 year old to talk to in the first place? And then trying to meet up with the supposed 15 year old to have sex? Explain it if he did not intend to have sex with a kid. Because if he did that is illegal and that is why he is being charged. Good luck calling that entrapment, the cops merely gave him a fake victim and saved someone’s daughter from getting molested, he was looking for a kid on-line otherwise he would have never been talking to a kid on-line. The cops didn’t force him to come to Milton to meet up with what he thought was a 15 year old girl for sex. And how stupid is this guy to actually come to Milton to try and meet a girl when the Milton Police have been cracking down on on-line predators, they just recently arrested a guy from Madison.

these guys are everywhere, your neighbors, your friends. they are underground till brought up by these stings. they answer the call of these stings because they are incapable of restraining themselves. there is no cure. prison keeps them away from our children.

It's good that milton wants these creeps off the street "BUT" is it all that safe to entice these people to the area? How many of these types are coming and the cops don't catch??
