JANESVILLE--The left lane of the westbound lanes of Interstate 90/39, near mile marker 171 and Highway 26 in the city of Janesville, has reopened after a tanker hauling 4,100 pounds of Grade A dairy cream flipped over into the median shortly after 3 a.m. today, according to a Wisconsin State Patrol press release.

The tanker has been removed and a Rock County Highway Department crew is making minor repairs to the shoulder of the road, said a spokeswoman from the State Patrol.

Janesville firefighters and police officers along with Rock County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted at the scene, said a Rock County Communications Center lead dispatcher.

The driver of the tanker truck was not hurt, according officials at the scene.

Why give an UPDATE when you never ran a story to update?!?! Where was the story to begin with? I looked for it this morning.

There was no mention of a spill and the first story said someone was coming to pump the tank out so they could flip it back over.

Glad the driver's ok, he probably couldn't moo-ve to avoid the median.

On a positive note, the company now has 4100 lbs of grade A whipped cream.

I saw this on my way to work this morning at about 5am. Looks like he was headed east and ended up on his side in the westbound lanes. Must have been a scary ride!

Cow-tipping in the post-agricultural age.
.
I'm glad the driver wasn't hurt, and I hope they can salvage the cargo.
