Janesville police seek missing 83-year-old

JANESVILLE Police are asking for help in looking for a 83-year-old man who didn’t return from a Tuesday morning trip to Wal-Mart.

The missing man, Robert J. Windhaeuser, recently moved to Janesville from Green Bay, and is showing signs of early Alzheimers, according to a press release from the Janesville Police Department.

Windhaeuser is described as white, 5-feet-11-inches tall and about 185 pounds. He wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a denim jacket, house slippers and a navy blue World War II hat. He is driving a 2005 silver Dodge Caravan with Wisconsin license plate 721 PDD.

He was last seen at the Janesville Wal-Mart at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday.

The police are requesting anyone with information regarding Windhaeuser or anyone who might have seen a man or vehicle matching the provided description call either the Janesville Police Department at (608) 755-3100 or the Rock County 911 Center at (608) 757-2244.

Bob was found at his exhome in Green bay by an undisclosed neighbor he was safe but a little confused. Everyone thanks for your prayers and concerns

Sad but they should go back to greenbay he may went back home. I hope they let us know they find him, my prayers are for the family.

I hope and would assume the police put out a multi-state alert along with the press release for Mr.Windhaeuser. The first thing I think is that with an I90 ramp near Wal-Mart he may have accidental entered the interstate.
