Robbers see Army ID, return wallet
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A 21-year-old Milwaukee man now knows first hand the kind of street cred military identification offers.
The man says he was walking from work at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday when four men approached him. The man, who asked not to be identified because the robbers still have his keys, says one pulled him into an alley, where they took his wallet, phone, keys and even a PowerBar wrapper from his pants’ pockets.
But when one robber saw the man’s Army ID in his wallet, he told the others to return the items and apologized. He told the soldier he respects what he does and thanked him. The Milwaukee man says the robber even gave him a fist bump.
The victim says he attends the UW-Milwaukee and has been in the Army Reserves for about a year.

freeradical: The response was directed toward the criminal element in the story and it was also an attempt to placate justaguy. I guess the latter part was a waste of time. He seems intent on being an incredible boor. C’est la vie.

Bill who are you calling a moron? Posters or the criminals? Either way lol at the last few posts =)
In regards to the story, still think it's great military ID carries street cred for SOME thugs. I mean, it sounds stupid, but come on-this made me crack a smile. It's like crime with standards hahaha what a paradox.

justaguy: Amazingly, for once, I agree with you. If I may borrow a couple of your favorite words, they are "morons" and need to "wake up".
