CHICAGO -- Saying that, "twenty-five years feels right in my bones, and it feels right in my spirit. It's the perfect number, the exact right time," Oprah Winfrey this morning told her studio audience that next season will be her last.

Do we have a Gov't program ready to go for all those drooling zombies who will have no place to receive their marching orders?
.
How about a bailout to the publishing industry when the populace is no longer told what book should be purchased?

hannah, stop. Do you really not care at all that your lack of spelling, punctuation and overall comprehension of the english language makes you look not very smart? It's hard to be taken seriously on these posts if you can't spell simple words or figure out that occasionally you need to use a comma or period. Do us all a favor and stop posting. You usually have no useful information, anyway.

I love this country we live in. Someone (Oprah in this case) makes their life a success and the masses are jealous of the money, fame and success of one. Get over it!

Sarah Palin was on Monday's show and Jenna Jameson was on Tuesday's show. Brilliant scheduling Oprah. Like a mini "theme week".

Hannah, this is the 2009-2010 season (fall to spring/summer) and next year is the 2010-2011 season. TV seasons are much like the school year. Not that hard to figure out.

This just in:

Unreliable sources claim Oprah Winfrey has taken a page right out of Bret Favre’s career play book. Apparently, after claiming retirement, she will resurface on a community television station in New York for a year. Then after threatening retirement again, her family will be seen buying a condo in Twin Cities. She will then suddenly appear as the new host of “A Prairie Home Companion” and lay claim to the “Lake Wobegon” legend in Minnesota. Controversy will abound when “Prairie Home” goes on the road and makes a stop to broadcast from her old studio in Chicago.
Dr. Phil has not returned calls regarding his former boss' situation.

Yeah. She calls it a "new" format. Whatever. She'll probably get even more money being on her own channel.
