Sex offender released today

JANESVILLE—Gerald “Jerry” L. Campton, 50, was placed today at the Rock Valley Community Programs halfway house at 203 W. Sunny Lane Road, according to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

He was convicted in 1996 of second-degree sexual assault of a child and first-degree sexual assault of a child, the release said.

Campton indecently touched a young girl he knew and had sexual contact with a teen relative, according to the release.

Campton is to have no unsupervised activities in the community, no contact with minors, taverns, bars, liquor stores or his victims. He also is not to consume alcohol or drugs, must comply with standard sex-offender rules and meet requirements including lifetime registration with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program. Face-to-face contact with law enforcement also is required.

I don't know why my last comment was removed... It was appropriate. All I said was I can hate the sin but love the sinner. Isn't that what the Lord would say about sinners in general? Without that possibility what chance do we have at forgiveness of any sin?

so where's the picture? They showed the picture of Glenn the other sex offender because he moved into a new address. Would be nice to know what this guy looks like.
