Fake parade? What exactly is fake about a homecoming parade? Evansville closes down several streets from the high school to the public library down town. Let the kids have some fun. All the kids at Franklin, Madison, and Parker Schools, just to name a few will enjoy it.

I think showing a little spirit at a time like this would be a good thing for all of us.
Good for school spirit as well.

The parking lot? Sounds like fun, not!
There has not been a homecoming parade in many years. I think it's great!
2 hours of alternating traffic is not a big problem.

Why don't you get a life.....
It's one day for maybe 15 minutes at any one point.... you wait longer at five points some days...the whole parade is only going to take an hour and a half, start to finish!
(must be a Craig booster)

why should they close the streets for a fake parade. sure seems like fun. but why dont they just have kids park on the side of the streets taht day and use their huge new parking lots instead of having to block traffic seeking an alternate route.
