MOSINEE, Wis. (AP) — Police believe alcohol may have been involved in a crash that killed a mother and daughter in central Wisconsin.

Forty-year-old Jennifer Ploman and her 12-year-old daughter, Erin, died when an SUV driven by the woman's husband crashed on Interstate 39 in Mosinee early Sunday.

Thirty-nine-year-old Travis Ploman of Kronenwetter was in fair condition Monday at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. The couple's 9-year-old son, Jordan, was treated at the hospital and released Monday.

Mosinee Police Chief Ken Muelling says the case is being referred to the Marathon County district attorney.

Travis Ploman is a Mosinee school board member and the group's treasurer.

Another drunk driver (allegedly) and another fatal SUV roll-over accident. (from another article)
*
"62 percent of all fatal SUV crashes were the result of rollover accidents, nearly three times the rate for regular cars."

It seems like the jury's still out on the father's culpability--no blood alcohol level mentioned. Otherwise, I fail to see any exaggeration in these posts.

It's not pathetic, it's reality. I bet this gets a plea bargin and a downgrade.

Not sure what state some of you live in, but this is WI, Drunk driving capital, if this is not his 15th 16th 17th DUI, he'll get a fine and a "don't do it again". I hope the child has better people to raise him than the drunk that took away his mom and sister!

Of course it is going to haunt the man the rest of his life! I am with Inyafaze, it's the poor little guy who is going to be in hell! Losing his mom and sister and now his dad will go to prison. What a waste all for the all mighty beer! Hope the little guy gets better and God Bless!

If he has any conscience at all, and I assume he does, this is going to haunt him for the rest of his life. What a horrible price to pay.
