Sarah Palin coming to Wis.

MILWAUKEE — Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will speak in a Milwaukee suburb next month as part of a program presented by Wisconsin Right to Life.

Officials say no tickets will be sold at the door of the Nov. 6 event at Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park in West Allis. General admission tickets are $30 with a limit of four per order.

Palin’s stop in Milwaukee comes 11 days before the former Alaska governor’s memoirs will be released. The book, "Going Rogue," was scheduled for next spring but moved up to Nov. 17 with an announced printing of 1.5 million copies. It is already a national best seller based on pre-sales.

The display of ignorance by Palin that occurred during her stop in Milwaukee was even rebuked by Fox News:

Talk about a flash in the pa(li)n. Her past foray into politics was by turns disturbing and entertaining, but we can rest comfortably knowing she has no future in it.
.
However, it is true that she is "hot", and Palin seems to have realized this long ago. It helped her marginally during the campaign, as appeal is important to political candidates, but it was too small a factor in her overall (in)viability. She has now wisely done away with the extraneous trappings of public service and is focusing solely on her "hot" niche in life by whoring herself out. Whether fastracking her book release; negotiating a radio talk show; collecting public speaking fees; scheduling daytime TV interviews; preaching lies to her converted cult following on Twitter/Facebook; etc. there's a demand, and boy is she putting out, like an unwed former beauty queen sportscaster to her high school sweetheart before eloping. Deja vu.

RichE95:
Your statement of "She violated [feminists] religious like faith in abortion" is incorrect. People who are pro-choice do not insist on abortion for any reason. They believe anyone should have *the choice* to make that decision themselves. Ms Palin made her choice - whether because of a religious dogma or her own philosophy.
.
As to her child, what irks many of the women AND men (whether feminists or not) is that a loving/caring parent loves his/her child - whether disabled or not. If you've ever seen Ms Palin with her youngest child, you would think she doesn't realize he has a face. She never looks at him. She carries him like a bag of potatoes. Having Idaho ties, she might even look more lovingly at a bag of potatoes.
.
What many women don't like about Ms Palin (besides how she treats her child) is her sophomoric character. It's not how she leads her state (most of us reading this aren't from Alaska). It's not how she hunts, watches hockey or fishes. It's what happens when she opens her mouth on issues that affect us - feminists (both men and women), non-feminists and everyone between.
.
How she directs *her* own life is her business (even how she treats her child(?)). How she would direct ours as a "potential" leader is *our* business.
.
.
WHAT FEMINISTS DO LIKE about Ms Palin:
She had the opportunity to go to college and pick the career of her choice, to marry whom she chose, to campaign (and win) along side her male counterparts. To fish and hunt, not forced to stay home, write poetry and needlepoint. To own her own car, to enter into contracts, to have a bank account. It's great that she is in politics, because that means she probably votes, too, despite her political philosophies.
.
.
WHAT FEMINISTS DISLIKE ABOUT the Palin mystique:
Besides being sophomoric, the fact that she's deemed as "hot". This implies that great women like Eleanor Roosevelt didn't deserve to be anywhere except a closet with the door closed. We hope your daughters can get into the college they want, pick the career and mate of their choice, to be accepted for the skills and abilities they have for a job, not hired because of their "body parts". It's amazing that everyone (even you...and you know who you are) aren't feminists.

The hate directed toward Sarah Palin began as soon as she entered the national arena. The far left, especially the extreme feminists, simply just can't stand the idea that she chose not to have an abortion. She violated their religious like faith in abortion. How dare she personally practice what she preaches?

It's a free country: She can travel where she wants. She can say what she wants. She can sell her book as she wants. People can vote for her if they want.
-
I also get to do what I want. I get to save the gas that won't be used to get to her visit. I get to save my money and bookshelf space by not buying her book. I'll spend my time more wisely, doing what is important than gazing upon her "hotness". But, I still believe that it's a free country and she can do what she wants. In fact, the more she does what she wants, the more she'll prove her "own unsurpassed level of greatness".

-
To Shopierehuh: If we want a "hot" president, rather than a savvy one, we could always go for Pam Anderson... Or, maybe Daisy Duke for Pete... They'd get votes, but for the wrong reason.

Amazing - no one is really defending Palin anymore. A few half hearted efforts, the occasional swipe at Obama, but thats it. Where is the rage against the liberal media and the democrates who hate Palin because she is such a threat? Where are the endless statements stating that the media just shows her in a bad light and that she is the greatest leader of our generation, if only the liberals would let her. I guess maybe a few of you actually woke up.

They are not even done investigating some of the most serious complaints. She defrauded the Alaskan tax payers for travel expenses the family was not suppose to take, the per diem expenses , she was not suppose to take.

She is a crook and a fraud. On top of being clueless.

She was abusive with power when in office.
OMG, she did not even know what the Vice President's job specifications were.

Now you can say many people don't know that, but most people know enough to keep their mouths closed when they are not certain of a answer, not her.

She is a walking nightmare for any politician.

Wish the left would come out and defend the current administration with 10% the effort they use at whacking Sarah.

Your comment: "Being slightly better than the "average" politician is hardly a ringing endorsement for Vice President, is it" is a moronic statement.
How about a guy who never held a REAL job but was a 'community organizer' holding the office of president? He has done more damage to this country in less than a year and put us in more debt than anyone in history.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Wait til he gives your retirement to the illegal aliens, along with the free health care, food stamps and welfare they ALREADY get.
At least Palin has a brain, a heart and courage, and some snazzy red slippers....

Palin attended FIVE different colleges over a five year span. GPA starts over each time. She didn't even write for the school newspaper at Idaho, where she finally graduated. She hasn't published her GPA, by the way, so your "summa distinction" comment is a red herring. Being slightly better than the "average" politician is hardly a ringing endorsement for Vice President, is it.

Here's my impression of S.P.
Hi I'm S.P. and I talk in very, very long sentences that really don't seem to have a point or logic other than hitting on the right-wing talking points that are drilled into my head by my people, I'd like to end a sentence, but I'm just not sure how to because I want to make sure I hit on all of my nonsensical points that will get the crowd fired up because that's really important and for whatever reason people just like to support me because I'm somewhat attractive and stand for traditional family values, even though I don't necessarily know what those are because I only repeat whatever Boss Limbaugh and the right-wing propaganda machine tell me on the radio and internets... Well time to go read all of my newspapers...
