Don't these guys ever try to run first? A taser can only reach, what, 15 feet? And chances are the cop runs slower, at least all but one I've encountered.=D
haha j/k

boosmaker, sounds like you need to be tasered yourself! What a comment...have you HEARD ABOUT or SEEN any of the violence that the general public pulls on cops, who by the way, are here for YOUR safety?! Sounds like you might be part of society's problem...just my opinion, of course.

If you run from law enforcement it should be mandatory that you get zapped - man, woman, whatever.........

Yeah, boosmaker i think they should go back to wood batons and really beat thier brains out. Taser means less fight, less injury, for suspect and officer. I would bet the smallest female on the PD would clean your clock.

It's funny that when you see video's and read articles about police tasering the population. They show a 200 pound cop tasering a small woman or several cops standing around while a medium sized male gets tasered. What happened to cops physically restraining suspects that are being disorderly. All these young cops are just in the game for the authority that a badge, gun and tasor give them. You can't shoot them with a gun so you use a taser for the need to pull the trigger. I think thier all cowards. give me two minutes with an off duty cop. Thats my 2 cents.

I had to read it several times as well. It doesn't really say why he was pulled over, just says a traffic stop. Confusing, but I'd like to know the reason why they were trying to pull this guy over in the first place. Was it suspicion of DUI? The article really leaves you wanting more information. I realize these are latest breaking news briefs, and I hope the Gazette will follow up tomorrow with a more detailed report.

Does that last sentence make sense? He is accused of...getting shot with a taser? Shouldn't that be two sentences...what he is accused of and what happened afterward?
