Dean Clinic announces plans for new clinic at Edgerton Hospital
EDGERTON—Dean Clinic announced plans for a new 10,000 square foot clinic on the campus of the future Edgerton Hospital on the city's east end.
Work on the estimated $1.5 million to $2 million development could start in November, Dean Health Systems, Inc. said on Wednesday. The company said the clinic could be completed by July 2011, allowing it to open in tandem with Edgerton Hospital in fall 2011.
The clinic will have 15 exam rooms, compared to the seven exam rooms at the current Dean Clinic at 1011 N. Main St. in Edgerton. Company officials said the current clinic will remain open until the new clinic is completed.
A company official said the clinic is being built to lease by Madison firm Facilities Construction Management Corp., and will be located on the northeast end of the campus at the new Edgerton Hospital, at Highway 59 and Sherman Road. It will be connected to the hospital by a corridor.
The clinic’s proximity to the new hospital will increase efficiency in patient care, the company said.
Dean Clinic plans to add a family physician and an internist at the new clinic, but company officials said services at the current clinic will remain unchanged.

If so many of you commenters aren't complaining about GM and it's employees, it's about Mercy and their employees. How long before you start complaining about the new Dean hospital and ITS employees? Geez, don't you have any positive or constructive things to comment about? If you did, it just might make your life a little happier. I've driven a GM car my entire life and been treated at Mercy. No complaints about either, but maybe it's my attitude ...

As a Mercy partner, I'm always concerned when customers express they have had a bad experience with Mercy. From working here, I know we have many great partners, who work to exceed customer satisfaction, and like me, they take pride in the quality care Mercy provides.
I hope you have shared any concerns you have with our customer relations department, as we welcome and review all feedback - always looking for ways to improve the experiences of our patients.

I've been happy with Mercy's services for many years now. They've been in Edgerton for years. If Dean wants to set up shop in Edgerton, maybe they can move that building that they abandoned in Milton?

Ghost - I agree with you on the awesome doctors, but I disagree when it comes to the nurses and receptionists. Every instance, and there are many, I have always been treated with a smile and a gracious attitude.

Im glad dean is expanding too, nothing but problems with mercy. Ill deal with bad receptionists and nurses anyday, compared to bad doctors at mercy.

hopefully the staff will be more friendly at this clinic than riverview; riverview is an example of awesome doctors unfortunately supported by rude nurses and unhelpful receptionists!!!

Dean may have new facilities, but they haven't won the Mayhem Balderdash Award, now have they?

I'm glad to see Dean continues to grow. I will miss Riverview when they move to the new hospital, but I 'll just have to drive acros town!
