Former Sen. Feingold has book deal in place
MILWAUKEE—Former U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold has a new book deal in place.
The Wisconsin Democrat is writing a book about the nation’s role in international affairs. It will be called “While America Sleeps.”
Specifically, he plans to write about what America has done wrong domestically and overseas since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He also plans to outline his strategy for what the nation needs to do to remain focused on its top international threats.
The book is scheduled for release early next year.
Feingold served three terms in the U.S. Senate. He ran for a fourth term but was defeated by Republican businessman Ron Johnson in November.
Feingold will also teach an advanced law course at Marquette University in the spring.

Freebird-Congress is made up of the house of representatives AND the senate. So yes, Russ would have had a say in going to war...except Bush didn't ask right away and by the time anyone bothered to find out how congress felt we were already too involved to just leave.

From the comments here, you all will never be happy with anyone in office.
At least Russ had the courage to vote against the stupid, useless war in Iraq. Talk about a complete waste of tax payer dollars.

This will be one Senator's opinion, and he did not have to make difficult decisions like the President. Whether it is or was "wrong" is easily debatable. That being said good luck with the book Mr. Feingold, I hope it is successful for you.
