Erpenbach won't run for House seat
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic state Sen. Jon Erpenbach of Waunakee is not running for Congress.
Erpenbach announced Tuesday on his Facebook page that he has decided against running for the 2nd Congressional District seat being vacated by Tammy Baldwin. She is running for U.S. Senate.
Two other Democratic state representatives, Mark Pocan and Kelda Helen Roys, have announced they are running, along with Dane County Treasurer Dave Worzala. No Republicans have entered the race.
Erpenbach said in the Facebook message that he chose to "stay here and fight.“ His message did not address whether he would run in a recall election targeting Republican Gov. Scott Walker. Erpenbach was one of the 14 Democrats who fled to Illinois earlier this year in opposition to Walker’s collective bargaining bill.

@ wislady. I really try not to get into things too much, but what was your point of your link? If anything it weakens your argument and general political stance.

The article didn't mention if he's running for congress from the state of Illinois. He has roots there too.

Walker the Talker! John Doe probe is coming his way! DEJA VU - The same stuff he did during his Marquette University campign that the student newspaper said was wrong. The same stuff he did as Milwaukee County Executive that was totally wrong and he is now repeating more of the same as governor. The funniest thing is Walker on TV recently talking about education in Wiscondin- the man is a dropout.

If his constituents don't feel abandoned then they deserve what they get-which seems to be nothing

SarahB1: "good news for the rest of us." - You got that part right, this will leave Baldwin the nominee, which will then vacate her seat - GREAT NEWS!

Yeah what a great demonstration of "leadership"-abandonong all of his constituents and running to Illinois with his tail tucked underneath-we would all be better off if he just stayed there
