US Rep Paul Ryan to speak in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Rising GOP star U.S. Rep Paul Ryan of Wisconsin will be giving a speech in Milwaukee.
He's expected to talk about the nation's debt and its future to the members of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce at the Milwaukee Athletic Club on Monday.
He's the author of a conservative budget that Republicans pushed through the House recently and is certain to play a prominent role in the fall campaign for the White House.
He's endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who's closing in on the nomination.

Ahh the problem with the Democratic party, Mouse and Spark you've so hit it on the head. One is a moderate viewpoint, the other a progressive. Spark your article you pointed out was not political, but informational, Mouse turned it back to politics. Mouse pointed out an article, but it was very politicized and charged. As a moderate I'm always going to go with the article that lays out the facts and lets me make a decisions. Every issue isn't a right vs. left issue. Some issues are created just by the world we live in. Now mouse had you talked about why Obama wants to boost MPG standards and why that is important, and how Ryan's environmental policy wants to make your head scream, yeah that's fine. But instead you went on the attack and name calling, therefore even as a conservative democrat (yes we are still out there you guys just aren't listening) you lose this argument. I will be voting against Ryan for many reasons absolutely, but pick your arguments well and based on non charged political facts. That's how you shut the other side down. Considering that's what you did Sparks wouldn't you agree? LOL

Gary, I'm not sure about sandwiches, but there surely is no shortage of bologna around the Ryan camp.

If I had known at the time how crazy Sarah P was,
I might have.

Mouse - So once again, you obviously didn't read my link. That link describes you to a tee. The gullible, misinformed citizen who let's their emotions overcome their thought process. You're doing exactly what that article describes Mouse. Step out of the box and be a little original.

LibertyBelle said, "Because it's a mandate TAX that needs the IRS to find you and collect this TAX or fine you for not abiding the law of the land."
Another conservative not following the Republican talking points memo. Don't let the Supreme Court Justices hear that the mandate is a tax.... Congress has established authority to levy taxes.

Ask yourself one question. Why does a budget busting program like ObamaCare need 500 billion dollars to go to the IRS through non-proper channels by Obama to ENFORCE this program. Because it's a mandate TAX that needs the IRS to find you and collect this TAX or fine you for not abiding the law of the land. No one if going to get FREE care but you will have to pay. Ever try to resolve an issure with the IRS?
Paul Ryan knows this. #1 budget savior is to Repeal ObamaCare in all it's miserable glory.

Paul Ryan would be a better President then Obama. Obama's debt and spending spree with our money is out of control. Trying to control us through Obamacare and cutting off our middle class with his failed energy policies which include stopping Keystone and drilling on public property. Over regulating our businesses and when he can't get bad policies passed through his own Democrat controlled Senate, he uses NON-elected appointed agencies to jam them through dictator fashion.
Go Paul Ryan!

Rising star? I'd say that's history, since we are all now aware of his desire to transfer money away from the middle and lowers classes to pad the pockets of his corporate $$ backers. Sorry Ryan. I once liked you, but I've lost all faith in you in the past year.

Mouse - That would be equivalent to me posting something from Fox News which I will never do. Come on man, get real. Stick to some basic economics and logic here for a minute. With your logic, I will just blame Obama for gas prices because it's easy that way.

Hmmmm...yep, they are just as high. Must mean we can blame Obama now. Come on people. We all know it goes beyond just a few people to blame.

Will Ryan support curbing Wall Street banks' speculation on oil? Anyone (either party) that will not support putting some limits on oil speculation is partly to blame for the oil/gas prices. How about making speculators take delivery of the oil? That would be interesting......

where is the increased revenue factor to show that the rightie-wrongs are serious about the deficit. To them, it is only a political tool to shrink the government so small that it can be drowned in a bathtub. If they get control again - it will be GWB on steriods so they have futher "justification" to completely do away with Medicare, Medicaid and SS. Ryan was a strong supporter of the Bush policies.
wislady/usaret for you - "Deficits don't matter / It's our due". Guess who said this and was key to kicking off this deficit problem.

garyprimer - It's called pointing out the hypocrisy. When some of you start realizing (yada) that the political party you favor are just as guilty at wasteful spending, etc, your arguments will then hold some credibility. I have to laugh at how many times I have heard the bottle of wine complaint, yet the same people will never say one word about the waste from the left. Are people really that naive? It cannot be possible that some truly believe it doesn't happen on both sides. Alls one has to do is look directly at the White House and you will see waste that makes a bottle of wine look laughable.

It is such a shame that Ryan is a politician that has been forgotten about even in his own state and district. Problem is we keep sending back to Washington every time we have an election because there is no worthy challenger to Ryan. Ryan has been in Washington for so long he forgot where he came from and who put him there in the first place. The time has come for an independent to run against Ryan to teach the old establishment that if you represent Wisconsin you are accountable to the people of Wisconsin and not your party or the special interest. Ryan you better start remembering where you come from and who your accountable to that is us the people of Wisconsin.

Hey Paul - Please tell us how you could not figure out that you were drinking TWO $350.00 per bottle wines at the DC bistro. Were the people you were with that night lobbyists or economists - it is important that we know truthfully who they were. If they are lobbyists I believe that the wine is considered an expensive gift which is a violation of ethics rules in congress. Also - Keep in mind Paul that many mom and pop families with minimum wage salaries that the wine is more salary than what they make. You want to make CUTS to programs for the seniors and poor and now we can see who you really are.

He's way bigger than WMC they cannot even afford him. He's just covering his butt in case he doesn't get the V.P nomination make sure people in his district don't forget about him. I think it's funny that every other Republican and Democrat once they get into this position make sure that money comes back to their state, where's our share? If you think he's against drop in's to the budget look again. So where is the drop in's for the budget for his district? Sorry southeastern Wisconsin he's a name now and he's already forgotten about his district.

Guess he feels his lies and half-truths will be better received by the WMC than the home town folks.
