Johnson won’t say who he backs in Senate race
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Sen. Ron Johnson says he knows who he will vote for in the GOP primary for U.S. Senate, but he’s not saying.
Johnson was asked about the Senate race following his appearance at a luncheon Tuesday in Madison hosted by the political website wispolitics.com.
Johnson says he will back whoever the nominee is and that is why he’s not endorsing anyone or saying who he intends to vote for.
Johnson was elected two years ago in his first campaign with tea party support. Johnson says he hasn’t made up his mind about whether he will seek re-election.
Four candidates are seeking the Republican nomination in the Aug. 14 primary. They are Tommy Thompson, Eric Hovde, Mark Neumann and Jeff Fitzgerald. Tammy Baldwin is the only Democrat running.

"Oddly enough, Paul Ryan has been in office for 14 years. But he's Republican, so can't possibly be a career politician."
Typical liberal response, just because I defend Ron Johnson you automatically think I am Republican and like Paul Ryan and redirect. Russ Feingold lost because he was a do nothing career politician...Ryan may loose because of that also. Career politicians are the cause of the problems we have today. The more we can remove from office the better.

Maybe Johnson is smart enough to know that Mormons are a cult and he should not be supporting Mitt.

This is funny. Nobody will endorse anyone.
Walker, Johnson, Ryan are all silent.
Everyday Republicans do not even know who they are voting for. Should they vote for:
1. The has-been, lifelong gov't, big spender.
2. The hedge funder and non-voter in DC.
3. The multiple time loser.
No wonder no one wants anybody in this bunch.

"He's career politician out for the dough."
Unlike Russ Feingold, so far Ron Johnson has NOT proven this. If Ron had 18 years, I am sure he would do better than Russ, but I don't want him in there 18 years.

You all voted for him, or at least didn't vote against him in 2010. What's he done in two years that stands up to or even compares to Feingold's record?
