Walker’s wife Tonette has appendix removed
MADISON—Gov. Scott Walker’s wife Tonette is resting in the hospital after having her appendix removed.
Walker’s spokesman Cullen Werwie says the governor spent the night with her in the hospital in Milwaukee and is recovering well following the appendectomy Wednesday morning.
Tonette Walker was taken to the hospital on Tuesday morning with stomach pains and released. She returned to the hospital later Tuesday for additional tests.
Walker was attending a vigil for victims of the shooting at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek when she returned to the hospital. He left the vigil to be with her.
Walker has canceled his plans for Wednesday that included attending the Cranberry Growers Association summer meeting in Hancock and a meeting about the creation of a new office of youth services in Janesville.

Carlitosway, none of us can have even the things we need, health care or whatever, without some way or somebody to pay for it. Furthermore, you obviously have never been denied an appendix removal for lack of money, or you wouldn't be here to enlighten us all with your wisdom and experience, would you? And I doubt you've ever heard of someone being denied an appendix removal either. I know I haven't.

dogsrule......Your comment(both of them:)), "916WI.. so are you saying not everyone should be entitled to the same quality of insurance and thus the same quality of health care...nice neanderthal right wing thinking" continue to highlight your ignorance and your lack of rational thought. Good job!
Everyone shouldn't be "entitled" to the same health care. Everyone should have the opportunity to earn the same healthcare.
I get your type--you truly believe that a person should be able to sit at home all day on the couch, crack open a 12 pack, while watching Judge Joe Brown, and have the government(taxpayers) pick up the tab for things like food, rent, utilities and health care expenses. Don't get me wrong--I would love for the government to pay for everything for "everyone"--I'd be the first one to quit my job and throw a party! The only problem is that all of your entitlements aren't realistic. It still astounds me that there is a segment of our population that is so clueless that they can't figure this out.......

I can't believe how people can slam Gov. Walker's wife. When you slam the Gov. you are slamming his wife. You better start slamming OBABAMACARE. If this is not overturned NO one will have insurance. If your employer is paying between 10 grand and 15 grand a year for employee's insurance and OBAMACARE is not overturned everyone will loose. Your employee will gladley pay $2,000.00 a year penalty per employee than pay the full amount. Millions will be saved by the employer. If you don't believe this, just wait you will see. VOTE the president out.
Why do people have to say nice things about spouses of other people. This story is NOT about Gov. Walker it was about his wife.
When you loose you insurance don't forget you voted for our president.

Not so, 916WI! We're all entitled to the best health care insurance and highest quality health care that we can afford. Just as we're entitled to all the steak we can afford to eat, the best car and finest insurance for it that we can afford to buy, the best house, etc. What we're not entitled to is to force someone else to pay for it.
By the way, appendix removal isn't what anyone could call exotic health care. There isn't a person in this country who would be denied such a procedure regardless of their ability to pay. Badgercare, medicaid and medicare all readily pay for those procedures without any extra hoops to jump through beyond the usual ones. You don't need the Governor's insurance plan, set up and embellished over the years by his predecessors, to cover such a procedure. It's just another overblown canard of those who hate our Governor to say otherwise.

Good point everyone! When my husband has his appendix out the total bill was over $24,000.00 at Mercy because he had to return to the hospital after getting booted out and sent home too quickly. Healthcare costs are ridiculous and the whole system needs to be overhauled so that basic medical care is not a luxury item. That being said, and even though her taste in men is highly suspect, the appendix thing is horribly painful so my best wishes for a quick recovery for Mrs. Walker.
