Teen cited for party that led to fatal crash

JANESVILLE--The 17-year-old Janesville boy accused of hosting a party where two teens were drinking before a fatal car crash has been cited for contributing to underage violations.

Draven A. Kumlien, 17, of 3340 W. Mineral Point Road, Janesville, also was ticketed at 3:35 a.m. Sunday at home on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession/consumption of alcohol.

An 18-year-old Janesville girl was cited for underage drinking, according to police reports.

Kumlien was the host of an underage drinking party, and two party guests died at about 2 a.m.

Sunday in a rollover crash in the 5200 block of West Mineral Point Avenue in the town of Janesville, according to Janesville police reports.
