Police arrest man suspected in October purse snatchings
JANESVILLE--Police on Tuesday arrested a Janesville man they suspect is responsible for multiple purse snatchings in Janesville’s retail district in October.
Arrested on multiple counts of theft and attempted theft was Travis Boerschinger, 26, of 2523 Lucerne Drive, Janesville, according to a news release from the Janesville Police Department.
Police have been investigating thefts from individuals who were shopping at Sam’s Club, Movies 16, Americas Best Value Inn, Woodman’s, Boston Store, Walmart and Shopko, according to the release.
Boerschinger is in custody at the Rock County Jail and is scheduled to appear Thursday in court.
