Wis. court expected to rule on domestic registry
MADISON, Wis. — A state appeals court is expected to rule on whether Wisconsin’s domestic partnership registry violates the state constitution’s ban on gay marriage.
The registry was created under a 2009 law. It grants same-sex couples a host of legal rights such as the rights to visit each other in hospitals and make end-of-life decisions.
The conservative group Wisconsin Family Action has challenged the registry, saying it violates the Wisconsin Constitution’s ban on gay marriage. A Madison judge ruled last year the registry was constitutional.
Wisconsin Family Action appealed and the 4th District Court of Appeals sent the case directly to the state Supreme Court, but the high court refused to hear it and kicked it back to the appellate court.
The court is scheduled to release its opinion Thursday morning.

Another Scott Walker failure that has cost tax payers plenty in legal fees to defend. Do you see the trend? Ram rod a shoddy law, a lawsuit is filed against it, it goes to court, Walker loses yet again, the tax payers of Wisconsin lose more money defending Republican shenanigans.

Rivard was referring to something his FATHER said....quit trying to use that story and misconstruing it into telling people that Rivard made the comment.
"his father told him "some girls, they rape so easy" as a way to warn him that a woman could agree to sex but then later claim it wasn't consensual."

This article is NOT about rape. The comment his father made years ago (to Rivard as a young man), is not about same sex couples or their "rights".

The following excerpt from an article may give you a better understanding of the group behind this appeal.
'A group that says it promotes family values has endorsed a Wisconsin lawmaker who drew widespread criticism for his comment that "some girls rape easy." Wisconsin Family Action director Julaine Appling tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel her group endorsed Rivard because of his stance on issues.
The endorsement comes less than a week after GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan, Gov. Scott Walker and U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson dropped their endorsements of Rivard for his comments.' [ http://host.madison.com/news/local/govt-... ]
