ORFORDVILLE - An off-duty Rock County 911 dispatcher spotted a house fire Sunday, called 911 and then alerted a resident allowing him to escape unharmed.
The dispatcher, Aisha Brunton, was driving on Highway 81 shortly before 11 a.m. when she spotted the fire at 9616 West Highway 81 in the town of Newark. She reported the fire to 911 and knocked on the door. She informed Harold Kauffman, 87, that the house was on fire.
