Five arrested during search in Janesville
JANESVILLE—Four Janesville residents and one Chicago man were taken into custody Thursday night by the Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit after a search warrant was executed for an apartment at 170 S. Jackson St., Janesville.
The 7:50 p.m. search, which was the result of an investigation into illegal drug sales, also resulted in the seizure of $1,193 cash, 57.2 grams of marijuana, 9.7 grams of crack cocaine, multiple prescription pills and various items of drug paraphernalia.
The following people were arrested:
-- Missy N. Long, 38, of 170 S. Jackson St., Apt. 4, Janesville, on charges of running a drug house, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs.
-- Darick D. Swan, 35, of 170 S. Jackson St., Apt. 4., Janesville, on charges of running a drug house, possession of marijuana/second offense; possession of cocaine/second offense; possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation.
-- Albina Foster, 31, Janesville, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
-- Edger L. Holman Jr., 30, Chicago, Ill., on charges of party to crime of possession with the intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
-- Edward J. Brown Jr., 26, of 306 N. Washington St., Janesville, on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
