MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is attending the National Governors Association meeting starting Thursday in Williamsburg, Va.

The meeting which brings together both Republican and Democratic governors from across the country runs through Sunday.

Walker said in a statement released Monday that he wants to learn about economic development initiatives being pushed in other states.

Walker plans to attend committee meetings that focus on education and workforce and health and human services. Walker has vowed not to move forward with implementing the federal health care overhaul law, even though it was upheld as constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.

The meeting comes just over a month after Walker survived a recall vote.

hardtobelieve....I think if you look at the posts the viciousness of the Walker Haters far outdoes the people who disagree with Obama.

DonnaW. Just like your fangs and claws come out when Obamas name comes up. It goes both ways so don't sound so righteous.

CallitasIseeit: the Doyle travelgate woman had the conviction thrown out by a judge. Under circumstances the judge said were a horrendous miscarriage of justice. And she's been back to work since then. You going to pay for her losses and legal fees?

He's going to host the roundtable seminar on "Creating Your Own Legal Defense Fund". Oh - he's the only one with experience on that. Good thing it's a small table.

Perhaps some of the democratic governors will learn something from Governor Walker.

Of course, he should go to a conference of governors, especially a bipartisan gathering.
Governors of both parties need to advance laws they may not agree with to help provide services in tight economy. Scooter may want to just sit back and listen/learn a little and not play up the rockstar persona once. Less fund raising and more creative, homegrown ideas would be welcome.

Yes, especially when Diamond Jim Doyle was the king of traveling and had his own little "Travelgate".

Oh boy, get set, here come the Walker Hater Groupies! At the mention of his name, their fangs and claws come out, they start to drool, they get all glassy eyed, and they start to sweat! It kind of looks like a scene from The Night of the Living Dead.
