Cullen rejoins Senate caucus
MADISON – Sen. Tim Cullen will lead two new state Senate committees as part of an agreement he reached Friday with Senate Majority Leader Mark Miller.
Miller announced at a Capitol press conference that Cullen will be chairman of a committee on small business and venture capital and a special committee on mining.
Cullen also will replace the current vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Revenue, Tax Fairness and Insurance, and Cullen will join the Transportation Projects Commission.
The agreement includes Cullen’s return to the Senate Democratic Caucus.
Cullen left the caucus on Tuesday, saying Miller had declined to appoint Cullen to any significant position. Cullen said he took Miller’s inaction as an insult. Cullen said Tuesday that he would decide later whether to remain a Democrat or become an independent.

So, there you go -- Cullen's leaving the dem caucus really wasn't about working together -- it was a hissy fit to get his own way.

Fearandrhetoric: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???!!! Gee Whiz. Do you have no class? Just because someone's opinion is different than yours doesn't mean you have to write expletives (aka ****) on a blog. That is totally uncalled for. Have a little dignity. You're the one who needs to grow up. That's why people can't and won't take you seriously. The length of your comments proves you are full of hot air and in dire need for attention. Can't allow/accept a different opinion because you think you know everything about everything and you're always right. Newsflash honey: You don't and you're not!!!! Try another hobby. Blogging isn't for you.

Oh so when "Rusty" confronts those who hate him and has the courage to stand up and listen and explain himself , thats cool with you right Darlene? Talk about living in your own world, being "soundly defeated is 52-48? You are a person who watches politics like its the USA vs The USSR, us vs them, scoreboard watching doesnt make you right. The dumbed down masses in this country are the reason idiots like Ron Johnson replace good politicians like Russ.
Aww Paul Ryan cant take a little heckling, poor , poor Paul. Maybe he shouldn't push reforms like he is unless he can stand up to dissent. People like you are coartoon charecters who dont know how to make valid points, just simply think that if outr country were a one party nation (your party) everythiung would be great. Your party was in power 6 of the 8 years of GWB, howd we endf up?
Scott gets death threats? Cry me a river, almost all high profile politicians get them. I know that you couldnt care less about death threats Wis....lady how many thousands and thousands has Barak Obama gotten? The first black president? Spare me your lectures lady, you have no clue about reality , havent sniffed it years my guess. Dont like the rotary club video where Paul Ryan was laughing at a 71 year old man getting hauled away and saying "I Hope he took his blood pressure meds. hahahaha" I have more. The "Site" is youtube darlene, plenty more examples of Paul ignoring constituents.

"To act as if one side is more moral than the other is HILARIOUS!!"
From the site of the video you linked.....(comment section0
"This wasn't a town hall meeting. It was a Rotary Club meeting. The people who were standing up and yelling at Paul Ryan were interrupting the meeting. They were arrested for creating a public nuisance.
Ironically, they acted politely rather than rude thugs, they could have asked questions during the Q&A part of the presentation.
I guess it was more important for them to make a spectacle of themselves than to have a real debate."
Courage has been on display for the past two years, what hole have you been hiding in?
Your Feingold video....guess that didn't work out so good for Rusty...he got soundly DEFEATED.
One event was an luncheon event by the Rotary (who charged for a lunch), the other event was a Town Hall.
Scott Walker and every republican who got the death threats, protests at their homes, union thugs/protesters trying to tip the bus when they were leaving the Capitol........all are an example of COURAGE. A clenched fist is not a sign of courage.
You only see what you want to see...kind of like the protesters thinking they saw palm trees at our Capitol in a the video that was captioned...PROTESTS (plural) and had footage from California and Wisconsin. It seems the protesters quickly forgot the silly camel episode at the Capitol (which they assisted in), luckily the animal wasn't severely injured. Obviously, no one bothered to tell JSteward (Daily Show), that camels really don't walk very good on ice...a little different from sand.
Comparing Madison protests to the Egypt uprisings by using the camel...didn't really work either.
Here is the video...horrible, but a shows the mentality of some who would put an animal through this to try to make their point of view relevant.
(Where were the PETA people on this)? And, I didn't see any palm trees either.

I know my posts are long for you but I said that he is OUR governor. What I cant understand is why were still losing jobs? Didnt Scott tell us that jobs would come in after he won the recall? Is it now time to shift blame to the opposition again? at what point will you hold your party responsible? Or is everything Obama's fault? Funny the shell game that I see.
If jobs come its because of Walker, if they go its Obama, how convenient for you. Personally I am tired of blame, I want some freaking results. The days of Chinese made everything has to stop, until we can get some people that care about this country/state and her workers in office itr will NEVER happen. Scott Walker doesnt care about the people, and guess what NEITHER does Barak Obama, so now whut??

Have met Mr Cullen and find him to be very humble and approachable. Met him playing golf on Blackhawk shook his hand and talked for 10 min or so. Was gracious and nice, didnt try to walk away as I talked with him about what I agreed with him on and what I took issue with him on, he never backpedaled and asked if I had any other questions. Nice man and a guy that I want representing my community.
Those who refuse to talk to him and shake his hand, YOU are the partisan crybabys, YOU are the ones who want to take your ball and go home. GROW the **** up!! Understand that human beings can disagree and still be respectful of one another. Anyone who acts like that is a total degenerate.
In a total contrast, I have tried on several occasions to speak with Wynn and Loudenbeck about certain issues, and have gotten nothing but automated responses from their offices. Tried to make appointments , to no avail. Some folks dont want to answer for their votes and others stand up. At least Bill Sodemann whom I disagree with on some very serious issues , will respond personally to emails and will generally try to interact. Politicians like Cullen are a dying breed, ones who answer for their votes.
Remember this??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jan-I7dow...
I wonder would any of your beloved "always right about everything" Republicans EVER enter a forum like this where every single person in the room , in this case over 300, disagreed with your politics? Russ Feingold ALWAYS stood fast and addressed constituents, agree or disagree. Anyone seen Scott Walker, Ron Johnson, or the beloved genius Paul Ryan do this? Oh thats right heres what happens when ONE person in a room expresses disgust with Paul Ryan, courage personafied by Mr Ryan:

A lot of very predictable posts by a lot of very pathetic people. Love to see the Repubs in Rock county stand against Cullen!! The man will be our state senator as long as he likes and they need stories of balls and going home , and repeated Illinois garble. This is politics folks, happens on both sides, if you think your beloved rpubs dont do the same thing then you truly are as small minded as I always thought.
Repubs stood by Walker, to their credit, but to insinuate that Scott Walker has Charecter is hilarious!! He stands for a certain group of people and he sold it to a majority in Wisconsin. He is OUR Governor. Mine too, but to talk about the man as if he hs a shred of charecter? That is not only questionable , but laughable!!
What I find so hilarious that so many of you would just have a one party system and think that the righties have all the answers, and the lefties are the whiners, the welfare nannies, the big government party, blah, blah, blah. Do you understand how styupid it makes you look? What I find hilarious is many of the smartest folks I know are conservative, but they get syuprisingly simple minded when partisan politics begin. Any time ONE political party gets a majority they screw up the country then the pendel;lum swings, been happening for decades and is going to happen again. Personally I hope Scott Walker can get this state in order, he told us that after the recall there were businesses waiting to come in and set up shop. I am waiting for thet flow of new employers, anyone seen them? Or are they perhaps waiting for the Big Spending Republicans to offer up our tax dollars like SHINE here in Janesville? Republicans spens money JUST like democrats do. Republicans are JUST as corrupt as Democrats are, they all havemasters to answer to, every one of them. To act as if one side is more moral than the other is HILARIOUS!! You posters like Wislady, Fedup, Kaystew, etc.... that go ona nad on about how your side is the answer and those that disagree with you are the problem, ARE THE PROBLEM. This nation was made great by a wealth of ideas, not just partisan ZOMBIES, unfortunately thats all America is now. Congrats !

Working together to make this State and Country a better place is what it is all about. Growing up and all my adult years I have been taught that though we do not like what we end up with we deal with it and go forward doing so. Obama was the people's choice and ALL PARTIES SHOULD STAND WITH HIM.I did not like walker being reelected but I will deal with it.
