Police seeking information on death of Whitewater student
TOWN OF WHITEWATER—Police are seeking the public’s help in the investigation of a UW-Whitewater student found dead early Sunday at Whitewater Limestone Quarry.
The body of Benjamin R. Fuder was found at 6:45 a.m. in the quarry, which is in the town of Whitewater, just outside the Whitewater city limits, according to news releases from the Whitewater Police Department and the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office.
Fuder was reported missing at 11:37 p.m. Saturday, according to the releases. Fuder had last been seen around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of downtown Whitewater.
Detectives are seeking information including the identity of the person who returned Fuder’s cellphone, according to the release.
