Walker, Barrett campaign before election
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett are making a last push to sway voters before Tuesday's recall election.
Walker was starting his day at a plastics plant in a Madison suburb before campaigning in West Salem, Eau Claire, Stevens Point and Green Bay. He planned to wrap up his day with a rally in Milwaukee.
Barrett was spending most of his day in western and northern Wisconsin.
His day began with a planned stop at a coffee shop in La Crosse before going to River Falls, Rhinelander and Portage before finishing with a rally at a United Auto Workers union hall in Kenosha.
Polls show a tight race as Walker tries to become the first governor in U.S. history to survive a recall vote.

“Democrats really were just foolish in this way they approached this recall,” Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said in a sit-down interview with NBCPolitics.com this week. “They set up this World Series event in Wisconsin, built it up. They put on the ballot a candidate who’s not worth two nickels – he’s already lost twice statewide, and is going to lose a third time now.”

Ecartman...that was so funny (not). We'll see who's laughing after the election. I hope all of you who "stand with Walker" will be willing to help him pack.

I feel sorry for Barrett. He got dared into this recall election. His political clout is over at 8pm on Tuesday. I guess they forgot to tell him about the silent majority.

Obama didn't campaign for Barrett because he didn't want to be associated with a loser.

I'd have to check the exact date, but I believe this was before SW "dropped the bomb" and he had said before the election that he would work with the unions; at that point in time why wouldn't Mitchell try to work with him?

It's hardly an endorsement.
"We know that state and local governments are facing tough economic times. We look forward to working with Gov. Walker, state legislators of both political parties, local officials, and other public sector unions in an effort to help solve the severe economic problems that our state is facing.”
It seems as though Walker was not looking forward to working together with them (or anyone else for that matter).

More women unemployed under Obama, the real war on women. Internal polling must be pretty bad as he was in MN and IL yesterday and couldn't stop to be attached to yet another lost election with Barrett in WI
