DELAVAN — Patrons at the Waterfront Pub and Eatery in Delavan got a surprise visit from Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rick Santorum last night.

Santorum had been at a rally at the Amory in Janesville earlier, but the meet-and-greet at the Waterfront was an unscheduled--though not totally unexpected stop for at least the restaurant's employees, who found Secret Service staff making a quick sweep through the facility Tuesday.

Line cook Randy Fedor got to work at 7 p.m. yesterday, after Secret Service members went through.

"Their presence was noticed," he said, though he conceded he was too busy preparing meals to see much of anything.

"I've never experienced anything like it before," said owner Joey Torkelson, describing the Secret Service men checking out everything from the restaurant's bathrooms to its back doors.

Y'all been rickrolled!

"We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you"

When did it become the job of Secret Service to prevent citizens from leaving an event (which happened at the Armory) before the speech is over?

They do check the bathrooms after they leave, but they don't mention that you see because at that, the bathroom is a washroom.

I love the caption on the front page photo, "Santorum appeals to Ryan fan base during visit."

Makes you think twice about Ryan's fan base, doesn't it?
