WAUKESHA—Three people, including two sheriff’s deputies, have been hurt in a fiery crash on the interstate in Waukesha County.

The State Patrol says the two deputies were inside the median along I-94 when a vehicle hit the back of their squad and caught fire about 3 a.m. Thursday.
WTMJ radio says the deputies were transported to Froedtert Hospital. A passenger in the car that caught fire was taken to Children’s Hospital.

Authorities arrested the driver of the car on suspicion of drunken driving. There’s no immediate word on the conditions of the injured.

The crash temporarily closed the interstate near Sunny Slope Rd.
