MADISON, Wis. — President Barack Obama has won Wisconsin, capturing the state’s 10 electoral votes for a second time and defeating a Republican ticket that included Wisconsin U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan.

The president defeated Republican Mitt Romney in the state during Tuesday’s election.

Obama won the state in 2008 by 14 points. But since then, Wisconsin has shifted hard to the right. Many Republicans were confident that Romney could win the state, given that Republican Gov. Scott Walker defeated a recall effort in June.

But Obama held a lead in the polls all year. In October, Obama attracted 30,000 people to the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison for his largest campaign event up to that point.

The win continues the string of Democratic presidential victories in Wisconsin dating back to 1984.

IMO, the Electoral College "secret" voting system has been compromised, & it was done so many years ago, & needs to be done away with, or changed.I understand the need for keeping their names secret, but lets face it, money can buy those names, & every person in the know, has a Price. I use to think it was the right system, but ever since the Obviously corrupt system reared its ugly head during the Bush-Gore election (I'm not saying I wanted for nor voted for Gore.) but the electoral votes in many states didn't vote the way they were suppose to vote according to the oath they take, & the state rules that regulate the way their suppose to vote (with the popular vote). Some states don't even care enough to watch what they do.. Now a days.. we also have a double edge sword, cal;led the electronic ballots (Computers run through WiFi).. Look.. I don't care whose running things out in the open.. Democrats & or Republicans, & I'm not saying Voter fraud never happened before electronic ballots. The Presidential Election of 1876 was won by Samuel J. Tilden, during the Post civil war Reconstruction, the Republicans, biased against the Southern States were not willing to allow a Southern Democrat into the office of President (won Fair & Square) and thus ordered Federal military troops to change the results of the election in favor of Republican Rutherford B. Hayes by using voter fraud, bribery, forgery and perjury.

It was going on in the beginning, & it still goes on. both parties will say, & do whatever they have to do get elected. Oh, there are still some elected officials that run for, bettering America, but I see most as greedy, opportunist, who'd kill their own mother if it would give them the sympathy votes needed, for them to win. Believe it.. Don't believe it.. whatever.. But tonight's political votes have set us on a new course to No where. I can't wait for his "Heath-kill" Bill kicks in for all of American's.. Then those who voted for him will see what they've done.. Bet none of you have even read it, have you? lol.. I'd start saving for that rainy day fund, cause your going to need it.
