Falling trusses kill Dane Co. forklift driver

MAZOMANIE, Wis. (AP) — A forklift driver has been killed on the job in Dane County.
The sheriff’s department says the 54-year-old Dodgeville man was operating the forklift in the yard at Wick Homes in Mazomanie (may-zoh-MAY’-nee) Wednesday morning when a load of trusses collapsed on him.
The man was moving the trusses onto a flatbed trailer at the time of the accident. Mazomanie and Middleton EMS responded, but the man’s injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
