Rivard told he’s always welcome in GOP caucus
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Republican majority leader of the state Assembly says a fellow GOP lawmaker who lost re-election after recounting advice his father had given him that "some girls rape easy“ is always welcome in the Republican caucus.
Rep. Roger Rivard of Rice Lake gave a tearful farewell to his Republican colleagues on Tuesday.
Rivard says the last few weeks since his comment was widely reported have been "pretty rough," but he looks forward to traveling the country with his wife. He says, "It can’t get any worse than it is right now."
Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder introduced Rivard by calling him a class act, dear friend and true citizen legislator. He says he was proud to serve with Rivard and welcomed him to visit any time.

wislady - I am very disappointed in your non-response. It is a very simple yes/no question that you do not want to answer because you and the conservatives are so guilty of doing that very thing. If you were not guilty of doing this, a simple and hasty response of “yes” would be there and you know it. Again the question was:
…so you are saying that he was taken out of context and that is not an honorable thing to do, right?

This is hilarious. The left fringe becomes all intolerant to speech when said by a person with a point of view they distain while they IGNORE ugly speech by those with the same points of view. Then, in their attempt to hide their hypocrisy, they falsely claim others are defending crude remarks. Get a clue. The long history of lack of convictions becomes clearer with each of your posts.

When you tell a story that has some content that refers to a story your daddy just told you, its meant to preach.
Is it shocking to anyone that the 2 biggest right wing lunatics on these boards find a way to defend animals like these? No
Intolerant? Of any embicile that could make a comment like that in any context. If my father made a comment like that I'd let him have it. No place for that anywhere , anytime. Congrats to wislady and RAf for graduating to sub human. Unbelievable to me that anyone regardless of party could speak of tolerance and context in a story told of how some girls rape so easy. If you ask for tolerance then you must clearly agree with that contention, if y ou talk of context you simply want it to go away. Thank goodness the people of his district held him responsible. Enjoy traveling the. country, please, don't come back. PIG

Nah...didn't think so.

True to form wislady.
The way wislady operates is that things taken out of context only matter when it concerns a republican..
Hypocrisy at its' finest.

Why would I need to explain anything to you. If you are not able to read the original comment as printed in the article I linked, then how can you comprehend anything?
Obama and regime tell lies, and then say they "misspoke". Maybe Rivard should have used that defense for his inability to articulate what he meant.

If something the left says is taken out of context, it's open season for the right
Typical wislady hypocrisy.

This is a pretty easy yes/no question I think.

He certainly could have told that story without using the word rape. I really don't care what context you use that in. It's disgusting. BYE BYE. I guess he has his dad to blame.

Why is it that the left seems incapable of getting the facts straight? Rivard was relating something that his father told him, as a young man. I agree, he did not explain it very well, but to continue to regurgitate the story as something Rivard said, is plain ignorant and nasty.
"Madison - A state representative is drawing heat for saying that his father had told him when he was young that "some girls rape easy" as a way to warn him that a woman could agree to sex but then later claim that it wasn't consensual.
Freshman Rep. Roger Rivard (R-Rice Lake) in December discussed a case with the Chetek Alert newspaper in which a 17-year-old high school senior was charged with sexual assault for having sex with an underage girl in the school's band room.
The newspaper quoted him as saying his father warned him, "Some girls rape easy" - meaning that after the fact they can change what they say about whether sex was consensual. On Wednesday, Rivard told the Journal Sentinel that the article did not provide full context of his comments and that his father's exact words had been slightly different from how they appeared in the Chetek Alert."

"It can’t get any worse than it is right now." Thus, the worst thing in the world is losing an election.
.
Rape, then, not so bad, really. Those women should lose an election and see how they feel then.
