LCD buyers have until Dec. 6 to join settlement
MADISON—The Wisconsin attorney general says those who bought a TV, monitor or laptop with an LCD flat screen have about three weeks left to claim part of a settlement in a class action lawsuit.
The billion dollar settlement was reached with 10 electronics manufacturers who were accused of conspiring to raise prices for the LCD screens. The settlement pertains to merchandise purchased between 1999 and 2006.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen says eligible consumers have until Dec. 6 to file a claim.
They’ll be able to collect $25, $100 or more by answering a few questions about the merchandise they bought. The exact amount of each payment will depend upon the number of products purchased and the number of claims filed. No receipts or other documents are required.
Claims can be filed online at www.LCDclass.com.
