Governor rejects Obamacare rebellion

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker does not agree with nine Republican state lawmakers who say they would support arresting federal officials who try to implement President Barack Obama’s health care law in Wisconsin.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel first reported Tuesday that the lawmakers told the Campaign for Liberty they would back legislation to declare the Affordable Care Act illegal and allow police to arrest federal officials who take steps to implement it in Wisconsin.

Democratic state Rep. Jon Richards on Thursday called on Walker to renounce their position.
Walker’s spokesman Cullen Werwie said in a statement that "Governor Walker doesn’t support arresting people for implementing federal law."

Walker plans to announce on Friday whether he will implement a state-run health insurance exchange under the law or have the federal government run it.

Goodamerican...TREASON???

methinks you should look up the definition of treason. Nevermind...treason is defined as giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. what in the hell does trying to arrest somebody trying to enforce a perceived illegal law have to do with treason? Unless of course you are claiming that Obama and his goons are the enemy of the USA, then you might have a point by suggesting that they not be arrested...but still, pro- or against- Obamacare is hardly an act of war.

Obama has changed his mind again! He now has extended the deadline for states to decide, AGAIN. What's he afraid of, that more states will opt out than opt in? Here come the bribes, arm bending, etc.

Your idea of a couple of paragraphs is what three incomplete sentences and a copy and paste of my post in quotation marks? Not so much. Maybe you should give me some credit for inspiring your silliness? Evidenced by your position here. Blaming this on media hype, when these people have been quoted saying EXACTLY what theya re accused of!! Talk about errors and rhetoric? Once again, pot meet kettle.

HA!! Watch RAF talk in circles!! Its two questions? They IMPLY that Obamacare is uncontitutional with the question, because they beleive it is!! Are you really that thick? Read the survey and try and act as if the question wasnt asked to support a measure? If its all rhetoric RAF then why are many of these reps backing off? Criminals? The only crimnals I see are the former aides taking the fall for the Governor. Maybe time to lay off the sauce?

Yeah its just the media, thats why the the Governor just blew it off as he should have it was just a fake media story. For some reason Cullen Werwie felt the need to respond for the Gov.
""Walker’s spokesman Cullen Werwie said in a statement that "Governor Walker doesn’t support arresting people for implementing federal law.""
""Chris Kapenga, R-Delafield, who told the Journal Sentinel that he believes the health care law is unconstitutional.

“Just because Obama was reelected does not mean he’s above the constitution,” he told the Journal Sentinel.

Another one of the state lawmakers who responded to Campaign for Liberty’s survey, Rep. Don Pridemore, R-Hartford, said he would also support legislation preventing his governor from setting up a health exchange in the state without first getting approval from the state legislature — similar to a ballot initiative that passed last week in Missouri.

“That seems reasonable,” Pridemore told the Journal Sentinel. “It was making a statement to the federal government that we don’t want Obamacare.”

Yeah RAF fake media stories, forget their OWN quotations. Did the media make them talk?? Curious. Have to give you credit first time Ive seen you post a couple of paragraphs in awhile. Good to see you inspired , wrong as usual, but inspired none the less. Who is a sheep? Pot meet Kettle.

Why are the sheep so quick to believe what is fed to them by the media? This article not only is wrong, it quotes another article that is also wrong. Were these people asked stupid questions, yes. Were the questions asked exactly what is reported, no.

The hot-button question asked was, "Will you support legislation to nullify ObamaCare and authorize state and local law enforcement to arrest federal officials attempting to implement the unconstitutional health care scheme known as ObamaCare?

This two-part question first asked if they would support legislation to nullify obamacare. The second part asked if they supported arresting fed officials if they attempted to implement an unconstitutional program; it never stated it was unconstitutional. Not only was the question a stupid one the left sheep jumped all over it as some tag line. These are the same sheep that just supported appointing a known thief/criminal to head the dem party in the state senate.

916WI said, "I am hoping that once the true costs of this program surface, that the entire program will implode...."

Americans pay approximately twice as much per capita as nations with national healthcare plans ($7,960 per capita spent by USA vs $3,978 per capita spent by France for instance) and still we have approximately 1/3rd of our citizens without healthcare insurance! The true costs of our pre-ObamaCare healthcare insurance system are well known. Why weren't you hoping that IT imploded?

A single-payer, national healthcare insurance program is inevitable. It's only a matter of time.

916WI - 98% of Wisconsinites are insured, with Badgercare, according to Democrats. Those that are left, choose not to participate. Obamacare will have Wisconsin, like with most federal programs, paying in $1 to the central government and having 75 cents come back to our state. So, maybe you can see now, Obamacare will harm Wisconsin citizens and hurt our employers.

It's very easy to express that thought......I'll attempt to make this as simple as possible so that it doesn't go over your head again. The article was very clear in stating that Walker did not agree with the actions of these legislators. Now go down to the comments section attached to this article and read some of the vitriol written with regard to Walker even after he makes a decision the left should be 100% in agreement with. Do you get it now? I would attach pictures to make it more clear for you, but unfortunately that is not a possibility with this site:(

The dimwits are loving using the word "nutjobs". The final word is if it's not an enumerated power, it's unconstitutional. 30 states have said we will not comply with Obamacare. 11 states have passed Freedom of Healthcare laws making it illegal to be forced to buy insurance. To add teeth to these laws, federal thugs can be arrested if they attempt to overstep their limited authority.

When watching the debates, President Obama stated that Obamacare was basically a duplication of Mitt Romney's successful plan in Massachusetts. Mitt Romney claims that his plan is highly successful and does not debate that Obamacare is basically a copy of his plan. His only statement was that his was state run and he thinks that similar health care plans should be run at the state level. If that is the only difference, I cannot understand why both sides are not happy,

-
That is hilarious. How does one express that thought (or lack thereof) when commenting on an article describing how small-minded Republicans want to arrest Federal officials for implementing portions of Health Care reform that's designed to benefit ALL Wisconsin residents. The Republicans agree that health care reform is needed yet refuse to support ANY type of health care reform then make every effort to destroy attempts by others to reform health care. Republicans express their tolerance by starting a movement to secede from the union. Like Karl Rove, they have lost their grip on reality while extremists dictate policy. I would certainly lend my support in their desire to secede. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Walker sounds very confident in his position concerning this issue. I suspect he will regrettably implement Obamacare and have the federal government set up the exchange, absolving the state from any problems(which there are sure to be many) and all of the expense concerning it's creation or maintenance. Walker will not lose any support, simply because those that supported him have been against Obama's HCR from day one.
