Probe defendant on Walker, GOP payroll
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A court document says a former aide to Gov. Scott Walker who pleaded guilty to felony misconduct in office has been on the payroll of Walker’s campaign and the Wisconsin Republican Party.
Kelly Rindfleisch is to be sentenced Monday for doing campaign work from her office at the Milwaukee County Courthouse when she was an aide to Walker.
According to a sentencing report, Walker’s campaign gave her a job “immediately after she left county service.”
A spokesman for the Walker campaign says Rindfleisch was hired by the state Republican Party to work on various administrative duties after the 2010 election.
Walker has said he is not a target of the John Doe investigation, but has cooperated with it.
The Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/T71oP7) reports Rindfleisch’s lawyer was unavailable for comment Friday.

Democrats have their own "snakes".
Firefighters union leaders fined in campaign-funding scheme
"Federal election regulators have officially doused an elaborate and long-running campaign laundering scheme by former leaders of the Wisconsin firefighters union.
In a deal recently made public, the Federal Election Commission fined the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin and 11 of its former board members a total of $58,000 and banned them from running for leadership posts in the union for varying lengths of time for "knowingly and willfully" violating campaign laws and regulations.
The union represents firefighters throughout the state, except Milwaukee, which has its own union.
No Quarter first reported on the laundering scheme in late 2010, leading to the resignation of five board members.
In short, union leaders submitted false claims to their own union for expenses run up at fictitious annual meetings to reimburse themselves for personal donations to FirePac, the political arm of their national affiliate.
Between 2002 and 2010, the 11 then-Executive Board members pocketed $18,263 from the false claims. They later returned the money as the scheme unraveled.
Prominent Milwaukee lawyer Robert Friebert, who represented seven of the former union officials, did not return calls on Friday.
Mahlon Mitchell, president of the organization and an unsuccessful candidate for lieutenant governor earlier this year, acknowledged that the union agreed to pay the fine for its former board members, cutting a check for $58,000 in August. He said the union also picked up their legal fees.
Mitchell said the union - which represents 3,200 firefighters in 57 communities - footed the bills for the former union officials because they erred while "acting in their official capacity" as executive board members. He said he did not know how much the union paid for the various lawyers."

One minor correction, shoplifting, unless it exceeds $1000 is a civil forfeiture/ordinance violation not a misdemeanor or felony.

You guys want to talk about criminals in government as if that's something new. I'm more worried that there's clearly a paranoid schizophrenic in the state senate. Alberta Darling said that over 200,000 people in the state of WI committed voter fraud in the Presidential election. Honestly, I'm more worried about having a whack job like her at the captiol then any run of the mill criminal.

Midnight - your faux hyperventilating over 9/11/12 is about 1/10th of one percent of the scandal and negligence by the administration in office on 9/11/2001 and then you can divide that by 1.5 to cover the false information that was ginned up to justify invading Iraq. You righties are pathetic with your over the top false equivalencies. Let people get to the bottom of this and the chips fall where they may. I would think the egg on your face with the false accusations on Ambassador Susan Rice would be enough but you righties have no shame I guess and we will have to tolerate the hot air blowing from Faux News through you to everyone else.

It's quite a while until you can vote for or against Governor Walker again...I suggest you relax. Governor Walker has been vetted more than the current occupant of the WH.
Get your "facts" on Hopper. He had a jury trial and was found "not guilty". All the negative publicity probably did have some effect on Randy Hopper losing the recall by a small margin to Jessica King. The good news...Jessica King was DEFEATED. Congrats to Senator Rick Gudex (R) in the 18th district.

As far as you worrying about my heart there is no need, as it is a Strong Heart and I have great VALUES when it comes to what I want for my family to see in OUR STATE and it sure is NOT the ones that continue to teach them with their behaviors and conduct in office that LYING AND CRIME is ACCEPTABLE and continue to put people in positions, that HELP THEM get away with it..
