Passenger injured in Saturday car accident
JANESVILLE—A one-car accident early Saturday resulted in minor injuries to the passenger and an alcohol test administered to the driver.
Janesville Police Department reports indicated that a witness said a car struck a tree on South Fremont Street near Tyler Street in Janesville shortly before 1 a.m. The witness said two men ran from the scene.
Officers located the driver, Slyvester Lamken-Flynn, 21, of 788 S. Main St., Janesville shortly after the crash at his residence. A passenger, Cody Kubiak, 22, 708 S. Fremont St., Janesville, returned to the crash scene and complained of a shoulder injury. He was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital.
Police report that the airbags deployed on Lamken-Flynn’s vehicle, but he was not injured. The police accident report indicated that an “alcohol test” was administered to Lamken-Flynn. The report did not indicate if alcohol was detected by the test.
