MADISON--Gov. Scott Walker plans to speak at the annual meeting of the Wisconsin Dairy Business Association.
Walker is scheduled to talk at the group’s meeting Tuesday in Madison.
Walker has been boosting his Wisconsin profile in recent days. On Monday, he took questions from listeners to a radio talk show and held a Capitol news conference.
In addition to the WDBA event on Tuesday, he is also scheduled to hold a listening session at ACE Marine in Green Bay as part of a new initiative designed to get feedback from people about his budget and legislative priorities.
Walker is also scheduled to speak at a Wednesday meeting of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, the state chamber of commerce.

"Wislady - I think we got a little insight into your thought process. The roundabouts caused the accident?
Sounds like a school kid saying not my fault, look what you made me do! Typical wing nut talk, always someone Else's fault. I'm sorry but it was the truck drivers fault."

What the H are you talking about?

Now I have some insight into your thought process....you are stuck in a roundabout and going the wrong way.

"I bet his next session will be at ABC supply in Beloit. Gotta let Diane Hendricks buff him a little more."

What did this refer to then?

About a week ago you made this comment....

"Lets call Shine technologies and ABC and all the other business of rock county and find out how much they are donating to this?? especially now that the 2012 air show is cancelled ABC should have plenty of money to give...with some left over for years to come!!"

You seem to think that donations from businesses are mandatory, and that the general public is OWED the donation, especially if a business owner is successful.

By the way, didn't you comment once that you are married to a teacher? Now I understand your contempt for conservatives.

Good Luck.

"and I never said the money coming from ABC and it's employees...I said Hendricks herself."
Did you read what I wrote? Here is my comment:
"found out that it was because Hendricks personally matched contributions made by the employees of that company."
The "Hendricks personally matched contributions"="Hendricks herself"......or has your resentment of her success allowed you to justify a way to invalidate that donation?

Hendricks IS ABC Supply.

cheesehead,

You have been anti Walker, anti ABC Supply and Hendricks, anti Koch Bros, and even anti SHINE Medical Technologies. You have based your opinion of Diane Hendricks on a cleverly edited portion of a documentary (used by the democratic campaign) this past year. Is there any business, besides yours, that you can say anything nice about?

I hope the new year is better for you, and that your business survives.

"I just think it's interesting she can fund the air show and our Gov's campiagn/other repubs but I haven't heard much about donations in Rock county coming from her for anything else. like I said before just my 2 cents"
---------
Comments such as this one are typical of some of the ignorance on this board. Maybe you haven't heard about it because she doesn't go around bragging about it? I had an acquaintance that served on the United Way board a couple of years ago. Surprised at the amounts coming from ABC and it's employees, found out that it was because Hendricks personally matched contributions made by the employees of that company. I don't know if it was dollar for dollar or a specific percentage, but it's one of those things that was never written about in the press........

Our family includes several small business owners with less than a dozen employees. Everyone is struggling to just keep the businesses viable, you are not the only one. Every business that has had to close its doors, is NOT Walkers fault.

As far as Hendricks, and who she donates HER money to, is her business. Not all donations or good deeds done are published. She sponsored the AirFest because she wanted to, and if organizers can get a good show together in the future, she will probably fund it again (even after all the nasty comments against her). Maybe she donates on a more personal basis, or gives extra to employees. I don't know, and neither do you.

It was a nice gesture that the schools collected for the needy, they have jobs, and should be able to help their community.

If you own a business in the area, invite Walker to have a session.
How about inviting a business owner, like Diane Hendricks, to discuss ideas for increasing the workforce?

The premise of the sessions he is holding now is to " get feedback from people about his budget and legislative priorities".

The next Legislative session starts in January, so now is the time for ideas.

If employees who speak up aren't potentially subject to dismissal perhaps you could explain the necessity of the whistle blower laws, wislady.

He is not campaigning, he is asking for ideas for the budget and legislative actions. He is meeting with the people who provide jobs. If you a a business owner and have ideas on creating jobs, or reducing deficit, contact him.

Walker is likely to address the changes needed in our highway construction plans. The first thing he should eliminate are those dangerous roundabouts - the tiny, tight ones by Milton just caused an ethanol bulker to tip over.

wtp: I used to be a liberal Democrat to a conservative Democrat to a moderate Republican. Can not find a home in either tent anymore so am now an Independent. And rarely have someone to actively support since only far right and far left seem to make it past their primaries to the fall elections. I too lost a lot of respect for backers of the Democrats this past year with what the protestors did to the Special Olympians having had a sister with Down Syndrome. I thought the recall attempts on both Democrats and Republcans was wrong. I hope one of the first things the 2013 Wisc. government does is act to make "recall at will" a thing of the past. That is what elections are for. Seems to me the Democrats claimed to support such an action so should be a no brainer. I think the larger margin of Walker's win in the recall was a result of many Wisconsin citizens who, though not liking Walker's actions, thought the recall was not called for. I also hope the Republican control of the state is tempered and both sides work together for a change. Hope the same for Washington. But I doubt it will happen. Especially based on the continued comments on here since the recall and the November election. However, Hope springs eternal.

Misinformed, as usual. The USA has laws regarding pay and safety, and it applies to all businesses.

rprp: Your comment is interesting. Assume you have all the facts as to what is "fair" Conversation with two of my brothers last week that farm. One is on local school board. He had 2 teachers complaining about farmers not paying "enough" taxes. He asked if the money being contributed towards their retirement should be taxed up front. They said absolutely not. He explained that his money going into his farm is his retirement account. Unlike them, he has to sell his assets when he retires to have a pension. Also, annual income is reduced by expenses such as machinery so he does not pay a lot of income tax. On the down side, he also does not pay a lot into Social Security as a result so will also get very limited Social Security if it is there. Both brothers have more net worth than my wife and I have. Difference is that my wife and I have a pension and will have decent social security hopefully. They will not and will have to drain their net worth over their retired life. A net worth they will have gained by working 7 days a week for 40+ years (they are dairy farmers). So there is some of the rest of the story for you.

I use to be a Democrat but this past yr I saw how cruel they are and never look at the bright side of anything. I also liked the idea that someone took a stand againt the strong unions this country has that is breaking the back of average citizens with union dues when money is so tight to began with. Most non union shops are paying and has the same benefits as union shops but the union worker has to pay dues meaning the check is much less then the non union worker.
