MILWAUKEE--U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Thompson is making an appearance in front of the Milwaukee Press Club.
A panel of professional journalists will interview the former Republican governor on Friday.
Thompson and Democratic candidate Tammy Baldwin are vying for the seat that became open following the retirement of Democrat Herb Kohl.

A new Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday showed Baldwin with a 48 percent to 44 percent lead over Thompson, a gap that falls in the poll’s 3.3 percentage point margin of error. She held a 9-point lead in the same poll two weeks ago.

The latest poll of 894 likely voters was done Sept. 27 through Sunday.

The general election is Nov. 6.

Don't forget leaving the state with a structural deficit that is still there of $3 billion.

Thompson showed himself a bully from the past on the last debate. not looking to solve problems, just to crow about his accomplishments. Notice he did not admit that one of his budget solving deals resulted in the state having to pay interest penalties on money he tried to take out of the WRS account. All had to be re-paid with interest. Now Walker wants to tap into that solid investment plan so his buddies in the world of financial planning can get their hands on some of the money. CROOKED is as CROOKED does.

That won't be a problem anymore. She was a fool to give up her house seat to run for Senate. Now we're going to have 2 repub senators and possibly a repub in the house from her district as well.

Seems the only time we hear from Baldwin is when she is running for re-election.
