VP candidate Ryan pauses to spend time with family
KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan took a break from debate preparation to spend time with his family.
Ryan, his wife and their three kids went to Sturtevant on Sunday to pick pumpkins and eat caramel apples. He and his wife then stopped at Tenuta’s Delicatessen in Kenosha and bought spices for venison sausage— in case he bags a deer.
His last stop was at a Columbus Day dinner hosted by the Italian Americans Society of Kenosha in Kenosha. In a short, nonpolitical speech, he congratulated a local business owner who was being honored by the society and then said he hoped to get home to tuck his kids into bed.
When asked how preparations for Thursday’s debate with Vice President Joe Biden were going, he joked: "What debate?"
Ryan’s visit comes as Mitt Romney continues to fight for ground with only a month to go before November’s election.
A Marquette University Law School poll last week showed President Barack Obama with an 11-point lead. Obama stopped in the state Thursday, appearing on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus in front of a crowd of 30,000 supporters.

LaborParty: Yes it is a quote from an interview that left off, I REPEAT, left off the words "AND LESS". What is so hard about understanding that?

mjjoseph, even if that were true, he's still no match for King Obama who can fit that many lies into one paragraph.

Labor Party: Please get your facts straight on the income for middle-class instead of repeating false info. The writer of the article left off a couple of words at the end of Romney's statement and they were "and less". Puts a whole new meaning to your comment doesn't it? As for the lies---You again are repeating what you read or were told.

Maybe after the election Rmoney can use all his spare time and go around to the high schools and teach debate. Racial divide? I wonder why that might be? The entire south, with the exception of Florida votes Republican? Is there a pattern, or is it my imagination?

Look critically at this short article. It was a story about VP Candidate Paul Ryan. The AP had to bias it in some way at the end. After talking about the Romney/Ryan team, the last sentences in the article were that Obama leads by 11 points, and was here to stump in front of 30,000. Does the AP ever conclude an article on Obama stating Romney has closed the race in Wisconsin to 1 point? Or do they ever mention every, major, national news organization, declared Romney ran away with last week's debate? Media bias????? Question answered.

like i said the prez's record is dismal a failure by most any measure. domestic or foreign. domestically he has been a polarizing figure. i have never seen such a racial divide as we have now. and as we learn more about his failures abroad with apeasing the muslim brotherhood we see our foreign policy in shambles. ARE YOU BETTER OFF TODAY THAN YOU WERE WHEN HE TOOK OFFICE? not paying $4 a gallon for gas and having to comute since the plant closed up and has no chance to re open!

Here is what the liberal media would have you believe. Walker won Wisconsin by 7% just very recently in a highly debated and headted election - and liberals will have you believe Obama is up by double digits. That is no less then a 17% swing in favor of Democrats? I suggest you liberals take a truth pill, take a deep breath and think about it. Don't lie to yourselves on this one. The foolishness blaming Romney for butt kicking Obama on the air or the lies only left wing blogger opinions can spin is making you look like children.
It may be why Romney is now stretched his lead with independents by 16% points.

woody, what are you talking about? The election isn't until November. The media can give you "titles" to call Romney all day but in the end, Obama's failures will cost him this election.
That name calling by the way was also called "evolving" when Obama does it.

They don't call Rmoney Mr. etch-a-sketch and flip flopper because he is honest. Why is the state of Mass. not voting for him and why is WI not voting for Ryan? Because the tend to not be truthful....

so that has become the mantra of the left. lie lie lie. hmmm....... i guess that is the strategy when we have a liar in chief occupying the peoples house. give it up awful record in office can't defend it and his foreign policy record is worse than his domestic. our president cares little about the common person. just let him get on with his million dollar speaking engagments and let him write a few more books laced with half truths and composite charactors. maybe then our country can get away from the course to socializm and decline!!!!!!!

And again, Obama is out in Hollywood chumming with his celebrity friends. He spends more time in Hollywood and on the golf course than he does in the Oval Office. He would rather meet with celebrities than with heads of state. What an empty suit!

I get a kick out of this lazy Gaz article. Twice now they have referred to the hilarious Marquette poll which was pre- debate as showing Obama ahead by 11 points. What about the Rasmussen poll out a couple of days ago that showed quite a different story, as did several other polls. Reality hurts the biased MSM.

Woody, I agree with you. Ryan will tell a lot of lies at his VP debate.
Let's recall some of the many lies that Paul Ryan told at the Republican Convention, that even Fox News reported on. I expect Paul to set a new personal best at his debate, telling more lies in one event than he has ever told before.
