Walker subpoenaed in former staffer’s trial
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A subpoena has been filed with the court requiring Gov. Scott Walker to testify in the trial of a former Milwaukee County staffer.
Kelly Rindfleisch is accused of using county time to conduct campaign work for a Republican who lost a lieutenant governor race in 2010. Rindfleisch was Walker’s deputy chief of staff when he was the Milwaukee County executive.
She’s pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of misconduct in office.
WKOW-TV (http://tinyurl.com/8ajevfk ) reports the subpoena has been served on Walker’s attorney, Michael Steinle and has been filed with Milwaukee County Judge David Hanscher.
Walker was previously identified by a prosecutor as a potential witness in the Oct. 15 trial. Rindfleisch is one of six Walker associates facing charges that arose from a secret investigation.

johnnyreb6977, it matters little who actually issued the subpoena. Once he is called to testify by the defense, Walker is open to cross-examination. Additionally, we don't know if Walker is being called as a hostile witness or not. The defense strategy probably won't be revealed until the day of the trial.

Ok RAF - not EVERYBODY Walker has hired/appointed has major legal issues related to their office - but many. Do you really want the whole list? Look them up yourself.
RAF is right about one thing. The wheels of justice are slow. I don't see Scottie going to jail or facing the fallout from his actions any time soon.
By the time Scottie has finished many legal battles, and his tenure renounced as a sad chapter in Wisconsin history, ye' ole Patriots will be trolling elsewhere and making excuses some other corrupt GOP boy-prince.

Mah boy Scottie can't find any decent help. Not his fault that everbody he hires or appoints has steals, lies, has affairs - all the dern commandments down the drain. Maybe if he used his friend Dennis Smith a bit more in the vetting process....

LOL, the same users who are now guessing Walker has problems over this are the very ones that predicted he would be indicted during the election...

If I remember correctly, Channel 3 reported briefly that he Walker reported it to someone or the State about something suspicious (sp?). He said in front of the cameras that there was to be no campaigning on county time, when he was in the County office.

MTEG, I was going to argue your points...and then I saw your comment about the birth certificate and realized how much of a waste of time it would be because you obviously are going to ignore any facts or someone else's point of view.

lol. The Patriots and their mental gyrations in defense of all thing Tea-Walker.
Of course Walker is not the one on trial here. Just one of his several crooked underlings who to stole government/taxpayer time and resources (some on his behalf).

mteg said, "Walker isn't on trial here..."
That is a given, mteg. However, if someone doesn't "convince" Rindfleisch to plead guilty prior to trial to avoid Walker from having to testify under oath, it'll be interesting to see if Walker invokes his constitutional right to not answer on the grounds his testimony may incriminate himself.

Obivously they know he has information...he was the one that provided a lot of what was used. Information on those involved, not himself. Walker isn't on trial here...people that USED TO work for him are. Thats like me being asked to testify against a former co-worker for stealing...Just because I worked with them doesnt make me guilty by association. They'll call Walker in, ask him a few questions...which he'll answer, then he'll leave, smile for camara, and go back to work (unlike Obumma who would take the rest of day off to hit the back nine and schedule a spot on Jay Leno). Like Fedup said...old news....way old news.

Very doubtful...probably as much chance as having Obama removed from office for having a fake birth certificate. I see Walker and his policies sticking around for a while...for the greater good of WI.

If they had any inclination of wrongdoing on his part, he would have been named under the investigation and brought up on charges.
He may be yet.

How would Walker get in trouble over someone else's actions? Two words:plausable deniability. The Walker camp has prepared for this already. If they had any inclination of wrongdoing on his part, he would have been named under the investigation and brought up on charges.

I doubt Walker will have to testify, fordfan. Someone will likely "convince" Rindfleisch to plead guilty to avoid Walker having to testify under oath.

Will he have to swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
