Brawl on Thursday injures two teens
JANESVILLE—Two teen boys were injured Thursday during a fight that broke out just after school was dismissed at the corner of Mineral Point Avenue and Waveland Road, according Janesville police.
The brawl, including 10 boys from Parker High School and Franklin Middle School, was in retaliation to a fight the prior day that happened at Mineral Point and Crosby Avenues, said Sgt. Aaron Ellis.
One boy was taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center for treatment of a broken nose. Another boy suffered minor injuries, he said.
It is not known at this time why the original fight happened, Ellis said.
Police will continue to investigate the incident today, he said.
