Police arrest teen in theft of gun from car

MILTON–Police have arrested a Milton High School student suspected of possessing a handgun stolen from a vehicle in Milton last week.

According to a news release from the Milton Police Department:

Police arrested a 16-year-old male after .45-caliber handgun stolen from an unlocked vehicle last week turned up in a search of a residence this morning in the town of Harmony.

The male, a student at Milton High School, has not been identified. He was arrested on suspicion that he’d received stolen property, police reported.

Police continue to investigate a rash of thefts from vehicles reported recently in Milton.
