Ryan visits Milwaukee area on Sept. 11 anniversary
OAK CREEK, Wis. (AP) — Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is thanking military and fire officials for their service.
Shortly after landing in Milwaukee Tuesday, Ryan spoke to about 80 members of the Wisconsin 128th Air National Guard refueling wing. He thanked them for their service and shook their hands.
The Janesville congressman also went to a fire station in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek where he had lunch with about two dozen fire department officials.
He said he wanted to tell them on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks just how thankful Americans are for those of them who put their lives on the line every day.
They then ate lasagna with salad and bread, along with apple juice and milk.

Yesterday, Paul Ryan said “I will never forget the moment (9/11) that our homeland came under attack.”
So, why did Paul Ryan FORGET 9/11 first responders and VOTED TWICE AGAINST the bill to provide them necessary healthcare, and then he was not present when the third vote PASSED the 9/11 First Responder Healthcare Bill!

You might remember that Paul Ryan was among those Republicans voting against providing coverage to the 9/11 heroes. He voted against it in July 2010 and against again in Sept. 2010. When it was voted on again in Dec, 2010, he was out of town for the vote. When asked about it later, he replied he would have voted against it again!

Ryan is so sure of his election as VP, he'll start running TV ads on Wednesday to retain his House seat.
