BELOIT—A helicopter will lift roofing materials onto a building starting Saturday, according to a city of Beloit news release.

Corporate Contractors Inc. is doing the work on the American Construction Metals building at 1600 Park Ave., Beloit.

CCI has informed the city that the low-flying helicopter may be used this Saturday and Sunday and again on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6 and 7.

Residents who see the helicopter at work should not be alarmed, according to the news release. CCI has assured the city that construction noise will cease by 7 p.m. and that the work will comply with the city’s noise ordinance, which prohibits construction noise between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

That's awesome! As a roofer I've hoisted way too many thousands of pounds of materials up onto roofs. I want to know how to get in on the helicopter action... and more importantly, where do I find the customers who can afford the helicopter method? For a little more roof humor, try www.RoofingOgdenUtah.org/ Great video shows how to get a person on a roof.
