Ann Romney fires up Milwaukee crowd
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Ann Romney says she thinks the Republican presidential ticket can carry the battleground state of Wisconsin.
The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney appeared at a rally Thursday at Marquette University’s gymnasium. She told the crowd: “I think we can carry Wisconsin.”
Mrs. Romney says the country is coming together for “this, the most critical election of our lifetime.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/PDUHk1) reports Mrs. Romney was accompanied by Wisconsin first lady Tonette Walker.
Mrs. Romney also introduced four women who worked with her husband while he was governor of Massachusetts. She noted that women made up half of his cabinet.
Two new polls show President Barack Obama widening his lead in Wisconsin. Obama plans to host a rally on the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee on Saturday.

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—The Borowitz Report has obtained the following confidential letter from Ann Romney to members of the Republican Party:
Dear Fellow-Republican,
I’m not a happy camper.
Over the past few days, some so-called Republicans have taken it upon themselves to lob some pretty harsh words in the direction of my husband. Now, it’s one thing when Mitt gets criticized by the forty-seven per cent of Americans who are parasites sucking at capitalism’s teat. But when former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan calls his campaign “a rolling calamity,” it’s time for Ann Romney to kick some ass.
Which brings me to you. This is not a fundraising appeal. Lord knows this campaign has all the money it needs, especially since Mitt went to Vegas and promised Sheldon Adelson he’d bomb Tehran on Day One. As Mitt’s wife, I’m asking you to pledge something far more valuable:
Your silence.
By signing the pledge form below, you become an official member of Ann Romney’s Circle of Silence, an élite tier of the Romney for President Campaign. As a member of the C.O.S., you will receive priority ticketing to the Inauguration, as well as a collectible “Loose Lips Sink Mitt” ball gag. All you have to do is shut the freak up until Election Day.
That’s right, for the next forty-six days, I’m asking you to bite your tongue every time Mitt says or does something idiotic. If you think that sounds difficult, welcome to my world.
And Peggy Noonan, if you’re reading this: you want a piece of Ann Romney? Then get in the ring, girlfriend, and I’ll mess you up good.
Vote for Mitt,
Ann

Ryan and Romney CAN'T be trusted! Just check all of the lies they told at the Republican Convention.
Now they want to needlessly strip seniors and almost-seniors of their Medicare benefits that they have worked long and hard for, for decades. NO WAY!
Ryan and Romney just want to help their millionaire healthcare company friends to rake in HUGE PROFITS, while American consumers suffer with higher health costs. NO WAY!
GO HOME, ANN!

What do you think of Romney's Aquafresh logo?
Looks like a stylized American flag to me.
Doesn't bother me one bit.
It must be driving some of you crazy.
There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with President Obama,
but hating the leader of our country seems unamerican to me.

If we've learned anything about the left during the Walker recall is that they live in their own made up universe. Maybe it's rejection by the majority that has them so delusional.

It's is no wonder that the AARP crowd booed the repubs because they make up a good portion of the 47% that Romney insulted in his "hidden" video. Romney is just "out of touch" for the 99%. He should just go home and play with his car elevator.

The fact that Ryan has the fortitude to address a group of liberals (AARP) in person, shows he is willing to take on the discussion. Unlike Obama, (who addressed them via video) and doesn't want to take questions.

carlitosway: You lose credibility when you start attacking the appearance of the wife of the candidate. Very bitter. I take exception to your remark about her. Have a bit more dignity. Stick to the issues instead of making personal attacks about a person's appearance. Eagle1: I agree with your statement concerning both parties being at fault and neither Mr. Romney or Mr. Obama being who we need for a president at this critical time in our country. I just wish I knew how we can ever get back to the middle when moderates in either party can not get past their own primaries.

There is no damage control needed, Romney is telling the American people the truth....and sometimes it hurts.
Damage control???? How about Obama and his lies about what is really happening in the world. He is not truthful to the people he is supposed to be serving. How can the media continue to give him passes every time he lies. The media elected him the first time, shame on them if they succeed again.

yada, btw Mr. Obama attended a party at rapper Jayzee's club in NYC recently where $900 bottles of chapaign were used in a pyramid just for a visual, so completely wasted. Where is your outraged rhetoric on this? Are there people struggling that can't afford to live in such lavish ways and therefore the president shouldn't be living in such high fashion? I personally don't care what he does as far this stuff goes I hope he blows a ton of money and continues to get 40,000 a plate at fundraisers, it is just hypocritical when he preaches how rich fatcats are advantaged, then joins them for his own benefit. I am not sure if that is worse or the fact his minions go out and post things and completely dismiss his behavior when he obviously doesn't mean what he says, or is it a matter of do as I say not as I do?

carlitosway although some of your rhetoric is a little over top, I agree Romney would be a terrible president, just as Obama has been, so I need to turn your question back to you and ask how can anyone support Romney or Obama, and expand your statement that all the GOP should be voted out to include Democrats as well. They both had a hand and creating a disaster through increasing government and going for power grabs and spending sprees. Once you and the other 80% that blindly follow a party regardless of their results, stop and think without voting with your heart, then we will finally start to see some light out of this, until then you and your GOP counterparts are contributing to the failure and not helping us get to success.

Someone likes to use only part of a quote (similar to editing of tapes), so that the meaning is deliberately taken out of context.
Romney: "Our message of low taxes doesn’t connect…so my job is is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them that they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."
Steve Jobs was a perfect example of a leader.
“My job is not to be easy on people. My job is to take these great people we have and to push them and make them even better.”

The "vet bill" was not paid for, and duplicated other programs which are not well managed. Dems wanted to charge extra fees to medicare providers to pay for it. AGAIN....another program with NO means to pay for it.
Maybe the disgusting new "Obama flag" sales could fund the program?
