Laona manufacturer doubling workforce
LAONA—One of the largest private employers in Forest County is doubling its workforce.
WD Flooring will use a $750,000 loan from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to upgrade its manufacturing equipment at the 110-year-old mill in Laona. The company plans to add another 58 employees to its current workforce of 55.
CEO Peter Connor says the demand for flooring has shifted from solid hardwood to engineered wood. WLUK-TV reports the company is looking for both sales and manufacturing applicants.

I place the blame squarely on Walker for this fiasco! Just think of the hardship he's causing so many people. There's going to be 58 more people in this world that will have to wake up early 5-6 times every week, and work.
I'm getting my balloon and showing him we're not going to take it!
What? Not now Lisa, help daddy look for his balloon...

Sounds like the complainer already posted frusion. 58 jobs that weren't there yesterday. I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to fill those jobs. I haven't had more than 1/2 hour for lunch in more than 35 years in the work force. Stop being a dark cloud.

You can bet your life that Walker, and Romney will jump all over this one and tell everyone it was thier doings. I bet my life, they had nothing to do with it at all. It looks like a good call from the company owners to me. As far as frusion's comment, I would tend to believe that any job is better than no job right now. There is time to be picky later. By the way, time off cause your cat dies? Get real. What do you want 3 days greivance? And besides, if you don't need or want a job then what are you worried about it for anyway? Go somewhere else and let someone who can appreciate anything just to feed thier family have the position. It seems to me by your attitude they would deserve it more than you anyway.

If I may interject before the complainers do (I have no idea but I'm guessing):
- working conditions suck there
- they don't pay well
- they don't give you time off when your cat dies
- crappy vacation time
- its cold in the building in the winter and hot in the summer
- you have to either stand all day or sit all day
- you only have 1/2 hr for lunch
- you only get 2 breaks ALL day
- [ fill in the blank why its bad to work there ]
